The stats that prove Jagielka is England's most valuable defender

Phil Kirkbride argues that Phil Jagielka's Premier League stats should make him a shoo-in to start against Lithuania.
The stats point to a Jagielka-Jones axis against Lithuania but Hodgson, after a dour win over Norway, barked: “Don't hit me with statistics” so don't hold your breath.

I'd much rather have jags as center back than Hodgson as manager.

He's quite obviously an FA yes man. I wonder how long it'll take the FA to figure out that he keeps giving extra days off and rest periods to the players of ONLY ONE FUCKING CLUB!

Maybe their media manager has got him by the short and curlies? I know there's a right cunt who works as spin doctor for them, maybe he's uncovered something. There must be some reason why Woy (who was sacked by them) continues to run the England team giving special dispensation to LFC players.

Come clean, Woy. Or are you the FA's Jimmy Saville?

Phil Jones plays football like I imagine Farmer Palmers big, one-eyed farm boy son would.

I only ever watch the national team when our players are involved and, sorry to say, I like it when our lads are left out so they can stay fresh for us.

Maybe I'm some kinda weirdo but I like to see England (without EFC players) struggle because they are such prima donna fuckers; although I am patriotic in every other aspect of England, I couldn't give a shit if the national team loses. I've been like that for years.

Eugene, have you ever seen a worse player in an England shirt than Phil Jones.

If anybody has seen the video of Boris Johnson taking out the German guy in a charity game a couple of years ago, that's how I see Jones.

So I suppose he is an obvious choice to replace our most effective defender in one game, and then the guy that had kept the whole team ticking 4 days previously.
