Garbutt out for six weeks with ankle injury

Luke Garbutt will have to wait to make his competitive bow for Fulham after suffering an ankle injury last Saturday.

The 21-year-old is at the start of a season-long loan with the Cottagers but ligament damage sustained in their last pre-season friendly means he will be sidelined for about six weeks.

Fulham boss Kit Symons suggested that it was an aggravation of a complaint he picked up just before he left Everton and he will have to do without the England U21 for the start of the new campaign.

"Garbs tweaked his ankle a little bit so we are not sure how bad that is but he did a similar thing at Everton the day before he came into us."

Strangely enough the lad is listed amongst our first team squad so maybe it is a jinx !

Who pays his wages then?

He's Garbs already.

Funny how footballers' names are added to if they're already short (Bainsey) and shortened if they're long.

Don’t be silly... it's "hamstrings" we specialise in, not ankles.

This is just some karma coming back around for when we took Traore (remember him, anyone?!?) on loan and he tore his hamstring after like 14 seconds.

The arc of footballing injuries is long, but it bends toward justice.

Paul Kossoff (#4), would insurance cover the wages? Maybe not and the Fulham gaffer is covering his ass suggesting it’s an aggravation of an injury Luke picked up before he left Finch Farm on loan.

This could potentially ruin the poor lad's season and set back his development.

Yeah, right!!! How on earth would anyone at Fulham know that?

John 14, we can only dream! Just players we've been strongly linked with will do + Yarmolenko!
