Everton Under-23s fell to a rare defeat today, losing the mini-derby 2-0 to Liverpool at Prenton Park this afternoon.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin went close with a flash header and Harry Charsley also narrowly missed with a fierce shot in the first half but the Reds found the net twice in the second half.

Harry Wilson and Brooks Lennon got the goals to inflict only Everton's second defeat of the season, although they remain top of Premier League 2.

Recent headline-grabber Oumar Niasse missed the game through injury.

Our away fans were very quiet yesterday. Strange.

And as I speak, wonder boy Stones cocks up again. Surprise!

Jack (#1), I can just imagine Ronald getting pissed off being asked embarrassing questions every week about Oumar the goal hound, and telling Unsy in no uncertain terms to dump the lad on his arse. Koeman out!

Shame for the lads to be beaten by the shite of all teams.

Sounds like it was a good match that we could have got more from if it were not for some good saves by their keeper.

Great to see an Everton side doing the business and top of the table.

On the Niasse issue, MK has it right. Why do people always try and see a conspiracy in everything? Sometimes things are what they seem.

Harry Wilson also impressed in last season's mini derby mainly up against Holgate (in his first match for us)... the next Sheedy?

Crackin' name too!
