It will be good to see how many local lads play in our team...

I might head over the water for this. Does anyone know how much it is as I'll probably have a car full?

Do we win derbies?

Not this one, Gordon. Disappointing with players like Beni, Walsh, Besic, Henen, Vlasic, Garbutt all playing.

Who wants to watch another embarrassing defeat to that shower?

It's a calling Karl, maybe even a blessing, but not today. Interested to see some of those on the fringes play.

48 mins and it's a third. You might be right, Karl.

Depressing... At least we got a point from the team propping up the Premier League today.

Why the hell is Vlasic in the reserves?

Hopefully this not the omen for next months game at their place. The physiological inferiority complex with the RS must be addressed by the club.

Surely after all these years bar a few years when we were the better side, it's become so predictable even at Wembley when we're winning and in terms of getting no penalties, the referees generally giving them the 50:50s, and penalties and we get more red cards, it's become the safest bet in sport, I'm sad to say on EFC getting whacked and in most cases not turning up, in the Derby.

In reflection, I can't help but think the last 4 years has had a net effect of zero on the overall playing field and we now look in long-term salvage mode for the next 4 years. But we live in hope.

I hope we get Dyche in soon and get back to basics and also have a fire sale in January 2018 and the club starts growing some guts and moral courage and take command as its become on face value as what can be gleaned a circus.

Sort the ownership of transfers etc and have a clear line of sight and buy proven players whom could and should gel with the current squad. The worst summer waste of transfer funds in the clubs history can't happen again.

Bram;ey-Moore Dock and what it could bring for now is a pipe dream and I'm not convinced it's gonna happen, I hope I'm proven wrong. First thing get the club straight and the 1st team playing again with style and manner and 100 pc effort.

That's a shocker of a result, that was a strong side we put out.

Looks like the rot is spreading.

Q) Did Vlasic look 'too good' for the U23s...did anybody?

Vlasic was played as a left midfielder and looked okay on the ball but not arsed off it. Besic needs to be moved on. Beni looked tidy but not penetrative enough.

We payed £10m on the back of two performances for Split where he played central attacking midfielder and looked good and he hasn't played there since. The lad is on our growing list of number 10s who don't want to track back. Liam Walsh is another.

Would anyone consider a bid for Flanagan as full back cover? He certainly knows how to defend.

I am also not comfortable with Jeffers as the U23 coach or, for that matter, any role at the club. As a player, he couldn't wait to move away; there must be more qualified forward-thinking coaches out there.

Fair to say Jeffers is not yet ready for management.

A result like this always sticks in the craw because there is no way Liverpool have better kids than us.

Hate to say it Peter #16 but yesterday their kids were better than ours. Beni looked good, Walsh a bit rusty but we didn't look like an attacking force in the way they did.

The bright spot is that we could have put out another different team of U23s with loans, first teamers etc: Hewelt; Kenny, Holgate, Galloway, Connolly; Davies, Williams; Lookman, Dowell, Onyekuru; Calvert-Lewin. and still have a few spare.

A precursor to the hammering we will get next month. So depressing. The dog is being taken on a long walk across the fields on derby day away from all communication medias.

Dyche for me, Silva too similar to Martinez. We need to get back to basics, find a system to suit the players we have and drill it into them.

Too similar to Martinez, Ray? He speaks with an accent maybe. He's got black hair. He doesn't base his team on 70% possession based games... actually that's what we need. Bring back Martinez!!!

Koeman gave us the worst football I've seen the blues play for over 20 years. The board need to ask themselves what style of football we need to see and appoint a manager that suits that.

He needs to reshape the squad ultra quickly. We didn't seem too far away a few months ago.

And in his short time in the Premier League his teams have been on the end of a few hidings. David,

I honestly don't know who the best candidate is anymore. I was happy when Koeman was appointed – his next job was going to be Barca!

I just think we need to get organised and build from that, we aren't in a position to football our way out at the moment.

Come back Unsworth, the U23s need you.

Mancini the only man for me.

Another loss to the shite – no surprise there then. Sick of it.
