Southampton U21s 2 - 3 Everton U21s

Paul Tait's Under-21 side travelled to the Staplewood Training Ground in Southampton to secure a vital win in today's final Premier League Cup Group F game.

And it was all square at the break after the Blues made the breakthrough with a goal from Ishe Samuels-Smith on 17 minutes. But two quick goals a few minutes later saw the Saints turn things around.

However, Katia Kouyate restored the balance in added time before the break, with Sam Barrett replacing Zan-Luk Leban in goal for the second half.

And the Blues got what would be the winning goal through Francis Okoronkwo inside the first 10 minutes of the half.

So Everton sit in 2nd place behind Southampton in the Group F table, awaiting the final group game between Birmingham City and Colchester United.
