As you have no doubt noticed, the ToffeeWeb site has been struggling of late, with slow page load times, server errors and periods of inaccessibility.
A rebuild of the site's news, articles and comments engine is underway and, once complete, TW will likely be migrated to a new server.
In the meantime, your patience is very much appreciated, especially at this time of high drama — and, therefore, increased traffic. As noted on article pages, due to the site's poor performance, comment submissions might take a while to go through or might be met with a server error so please just click the submit button once on a given page to avoid duplicate entries.

Update
Some interim code changes have improved site performance significantly which has lessened the urgency of any overhaul and the planned migration. The first Live Forum on matchday will be a good guide for the timeline.

My guess now is two to four weeks. Most of the problems this week have been caused by the elevated traffic caused by the news around the manager search. I'm hoping to stumble on through the period before the migration with performance slow at times but without the site being almost totally inaccessible!

I know it is difficult and awkward for you at the moment Lyndon but we who benefit from ToffeeWeb are getting through with it okay and glad we can contribute and read the comments daily, so four weeks will fly by and hopefully most of the comments will be happier ones because of where we are in the league and the FA cup!!
