Interesting. Highlights in many ways why clubs no longer position player trading with football coach / managers.

It is a professionalised trading environment - with a science / process behind it that looks like commodity trading and other commercial world investment / trading arrangements.

So no mention in the article, but we were there.

Robert, I wouldn't call it a trading floor, because so little transactional business is actually completed there. I'd view it more as a convention, where you get to see what new products have become available and meet the people selling them, just like the medical conferences I occasionally attend. They're establishing relationships in the hall and meeting rooms, foundations for future transactions.

Absolutely, Mike, this is the industry expo which paves the way for business.

The market has moved on massively even since Moyes was last here.
