Everton FC have announced a multi-year partnership with corporate payments company Corpay, Inc. that sees the brand’s Cross-Border business become the Club’s new Official Foreign Exchange Partner.

Corpay (NYSE: CPAY), a globally recognised leader in corporate payments , connects diverse businesses and industries around the world through their innovative, award-winning Cross-Border solutions.

Through the partnership, Everton will be able to utilise a world-class trading platform to process cross-border payments, mitigate foreign exchange exposure from their day-to-day business needs and manage global payments from a single point of access.

Corpay’s Cross-Border business will also support the Club with currency risk management through automated payment systems and foreign exchange services.

The partnership therefore aligns two dynamic brands, as Everton join Corpay’s Cross-Border business’s strong portfolio of sports partners across international football, tennis, swimming and rugby.

Richard Kenyon, Chief Commercial and Communications Officer at Everton, said: “We are excited to welcome Corpay’s Cross-Border business into our expanding partnership portfolio and look forward to working them over the coming years and playing a part in their business growth.

“This announcement follows a successful summer of new deals which is great credit to my colleagues across the Club, particularly those leading the development of our commercial partnership portfolio.”

Brad Loder, Chief Marketing Officer, Corpay Cross-Border Solutions, added: "The Corpay Cross-Border team is honoured to be named the Official FX Partner of Everton, one of the oldest and most successful clubs in English football.

“With our strong focus on growing the Corpay brand and business globally, this partnership further solidifies Corpay’s position as the corporate payments and currency risk management company of choice within the Premier League, and we look forward to working with Everton during the coming season and beyond.”

Perhaps they'll offer their exchange services to supporters with zero buy/sell spread?
In my dreams...

Official foreign exchange partner? I've heard it all now.

Football on the pitch should be a priority.

Another partner? It's all becoming farcical.

Not farcical at all, perhaps just planning to be more commercial. That surely must be a good thing.

Do we have to criticise everything the club does?

The commercial department is nothing to do with football on the pitch. Other clubs have had 100s of sponsorship deals for years, bringing in millions which can be spent improving what's on the pitch.

Years ago, Man Utd had an official clock partner. I get the announcement isn't exciting to most, but big picture eh?

Why all the negativity?

You've got to accentuate the positives, which this is; and try and eliminate the negatives; which has been the performance of our corporate and commercial arm for decades!

This is nothing but positive, and probably put in place now, in preparation (Does anyone actually remember that word as an Evertonian?) for when we move into the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock and have the opportunity to increase revenue income by hosting events there which needs ticket sales, both local, national and international!

Welcome TFG, we're already looking more professional.

For those saying this is merely a distraction or an aside or is taking away from the footballing aspect of the club. Well, as we all know now, without additional income, Everton our club loses money on a weekly basis.

Therefore any way to increase revenues and income, and highlights BMD as a destination, then bring it on I say!

Remember it costs money to buy players and to pay every employee, footballer or not, their wages and salaries.
