Everton U18s 3 - 2 Derby County U18s

Everton U18s came back from a 2-goal deficit against Derby County U18s in Saturday's league fixture to win at Finch Farm.

With a new name on the bench – Freddie Murdock – Leighton Baines's youngsters were two goals down inside the first 20 minutes.

Everton had a much better second half, with Braiden Graham starting the comeback before the scores were level thanks to an own-goal. And that new man Justin Clarke was on the scoresheet again to give the Young Blues the lead.

But 2 minutes after scoring, Clarke was shown a red card, Everton finishing the game with 10 men.

I think that's the first game Derby have lost.

The future could be quite bright with some of the young players in this squad, it's the bleedin' present we have to worry about with another worrying defeat by bottom club Southampton… although I couldn't watch todays game through other commitments.

Hopefully we get to see Murdock at some point.

He's a Northern Ireland international midfielder who seems to have some skill.
