Season › 2024-25 › News Kalidou Koulibaly hopes Idrissa Gana Gueye will stay at Everton Anjishnu Roy 12/06/2025 19comments | Jump to last Senegal captain Kalidou Koulibaly “hopes” that his national teammate Idrissa Gana Gueye will “stay at Everton next season.” The 35-year-old midfielder won Everton’s Men's Player of the Season and Players' Player of the Season after a standout 2024-25 campaign but his current deal expires in a few weeks. The Blues announced that they have offered him a new contract. “Everybody knows Gana is a magnificent player – an amazing player,” Koulibaly said after Senegal’s win over England. "He knows that he is going to get what he deserves (a new contract) because he is a good player – he has made the story of Senegal and made the story of Everton this year. “I think, in the future, he will be a good trainer (coach) because he gives very good advice to all of the players he trains with. But he is a very important player for Everton now, so I hope he will stay at Everton for next season – for Everton and Gana.” Gana Gueye is currently on international duty with Senegal. He helped his side pick up a 3-1 victory over England recently. Reader Comments (19) Note: the following content is not moderated or vetted by the site owners at the time of submission. Its not even rumors. Its just content-generating clickbait garbage.Meanwhile the Athletic is reporting Man Citys head of scouting is on his way back to us reuniting with Moyes. That seems much more newsworthy. Colin Glassar 2 Posted 12/06/2025 at 20:18:18 Well, I for one would love Gana to get a 2-year contract (minimum). He's as fit as a fiddle. Kev Johnson 3 Posted 12/06/2025 at 20:25:33 I know I'm supposed to not complain and just scroll on by, but this is not news. It's not even rumors. It's just content-generating clickbait garbage.Totally agree, Jonathan. It's not news. I've posted here, but I won't respond to any other "clickbait garbage" (as you put it).Hey, come on, surely TW is better than this. Paul Kossoff 4 Posted 12/06/2025 at 20:35:50 Blimey, we are struggling for content now aren't we? Mrs Misley says, "Oh, he is such a lovely boy, he used to cum in me shop and steal sweets, the little bastard, and he's an Everton fan such a luvly lad." Next!!!! Brendan McLaughlin 5 Posted 12/06/2025 at 20:40:11 WOW Paul #4Theft and gross indecency... Paul Kossoff 6 Posted 12/06/2025 at 20:47:58 We are currently being linked to Tammy Abraham, Thiermno Barry and now Manchester Citys Divin Mubama, he is widely regarded as one of the best young strikers in the country at the moment.Mubama netted 17 goals in 16 games across under-21s and first-team football last season, including one on his senior debut for Pep Guardiolas side.16 appearances17 goals 4 assists.Mubama came through West ham's ranks while Moyes was manager and D M apparently would like to take him to Everton.Remarkably, despite a prolific campaign with Citys reserve team, Guardiola will allow Mubama to leave the club for around £10m this summer. Paul Kossoff 7 Posted 12/06/2025 at 20:54:26 Brendan, 6. Mrs Misley spoke with a accent, so no alleged gross indecency was meant, he actually came into the shop, he didn't cum in said property, as in went into the establishment.😕 Brendan McLaughlin 8 Posted 12/06/2025 at 21:01:09 So I take it Paul #8Shop isn't an euphemism either. Paul Kossoff 9 Posted 12/06/2025 at 21:11:59 Brendan, no, the shop in question was actually a newsagents not, as you perceive a den of iniquety. Whatever that may be, as I've never been in one. At least I don't think I have, as I wouldn't know, even if I had accidentally walked in by mistake, thinking it was a newsagents.😁 Colin Glassar 10 Posted 12/06/2025 at 21:19:06 Paul 7, no more divvies needed Paul Kossoff 11 Posted 12/06/2025 at 22:48:09 Colin 12? You've got me on divvies. Paul Kossoff 12 Posted 12/06/2025 at 22:56:43 Colin, I actually put my post up to show how easy it is to put genuine Everton related info on here, instead of the utter crap and AI generated bullshit we are being fed. If you are content with that then enjoy your reading. Christine Foster 13 Posted 12/06/2025 at 23:12:39 It's silly season, end of season, everyone on holiday, no news, bullshit click bait and sports pages devoid of any meaningful content. It's always been that way, every year. This year is no different except TW no longer has the bullshit filter of Michael or Lyndon in place. A degree of latitude on content was given but clickbait was studiously binned or deleted, alas changing owners has opened the site up to the type of headlines oft seen in Goodison news or football insider.Traffic they call it. It's still crap. Paul Kossoff 14 Posted 12/06/2025 at 23:15:46 Christine, well said. Your post here has more sense and readability than most of the crap we are being fed. Mark Andersson 15 Posted 13/06/2025 at 01:30:48 Click bate keeps the moaners moaning which is always a good read.Dose any one know how many seats will be available for match day for none season ticket holders. Kieran Kinsella 16 Posted 13/06/2025 at 03:47:39 JonathanI get your point mate but lets not forget Lyndon decided to cash in his chips and hand over ToffeeWeb to the new owners. Anyone who buys a website is going to try and generate cash. The Liverpool Echo a once half decent newspaper has absolutely mastered the art. By comparison AI Anjush is almost interesting. Mick O'Malley 17 Posted 13/06/2025 at 07:46:43 Mark agreed, if it doesn't interst them they don't have to read it, I like reading the articles, it's better than leaving up old content Bobby Mallon 18 Posted 13/06/2025 at 10:24:42 Jonathan @1 what do you actually want. It's stories stop complaining ffs Danny O'Neill 19 Posted 13/06/2025 at 12:41:31 Sometimes links articles like this provide insight to rumours. Often, players get influenced by their involvement when they are part of their respective international squads.Have no fear, I'm putting the finishing touches to my end-of-season review. You can then all moan at me for my ramblings from my blue heart.
