A very warm day at FC Dallas Stadium with temperatures in the mid 80s and brilliant sunshine.

Everton leads 1-0 in the 2nd minute! Ross Barkley heads home a free kick.  Fair to say Ross Barkley, watching him for 15 minutes, is on another level than most of these guys. And that's not an insult to them

A Coritiba player is down which gives both teams a chance to grab some water....temps close to 85 out there right now

Smaller Brazilians of Coritiba having a lot of trouble with Everton defending set pieces. EFC retaining most of possession.

Nascimento tripped just outside box; dangerous free kick for Coritiba hits the wall and easily taken by keeper Griffiths.

Number 8 Denner Nascimento at the heart of all the Coritiba attacks right now. Everton midfield having trouble with him.

Coritiba go close again...Vivian & Primao with a 1-2 but last second tackle by Pennington saves the day.

Everton nearly score. Cross from Long is headed away straight to Lundstram whose left footed effort sent just over the bar

Everton should've scored! Wow Forrester with a fantastic run down the right beats 2 guys squares to Barkley who fluffs a great chance.

Yellow card to Everton #9 Hallam Hope... takes down Coritiba player 25 yards from box.

42nd minute of an action packed first half and Everton lead 1-0 over Coritiba.

Coritiba have their own little Roberto Carlos at left back #11 the captain Thiago Primao...about 4 foot tall but great player.

Corner for Coritiba right before the half...fantastic corner falls in the 6 yard box, smacked against the inside of the post, comes out and referee blows for halftime!

Fantstic first half with tons of chances for both sides.

Half-Time: Everton 1 - 0 Coritiba

Everton with most of the possession but Coritiba threatening on the counter.

65 mins: Orenuga comes in for Hope.

75 mins: Conor Grant is subbed out for Gethin Jones.

Big save for Russell Griffiths! Coritiba with a deadly counter but Willian Rocha's shot is saved by Griffiths out for a corner.

The Everton keeper Griffiths doesn't turn 16 until April 13... youngest player on either team.

Jasper Johns in the game for Everton, did not see who he came in for...

Coritibas fans think they scored, but it was wide, Everton holding on 1-0. Sub Forrester out, Waring in.

Flashpoint just before the final whistle. Over the top ball frees Coritiba player with defender on him. Goes down in box booked for diving

Final whistle, Everton win 1 - 0.

The other game in Bracket C ended: Club Bolivar 1 - 1 Kashiwa Reysol, so Everton lead the group

While it was sunny with temps pushing close to 90 yesterday, it is cloudy and 70 right now.

Goal for Everton! And who else but Ross Barkley again: 1-0 to the Toffees, 6th minute

Kashiwa doing well to keep most of the possession and nearly get a reward but shot goes wide. The physical advantage of Everton over Kashiwa is dominant.

Goal for Kashiwa!! It's 1-1 and probably deserved. A deft little chip frees a KR player who chips over the rushing keeper.

Hard tackle from Long forces a talking to from the New Zealand referee. "Use your head, you've got one chance!"

Goal Everton! A ball is played in to Anton Forrester with his back to goal, turns his smaller defender and blasts past the keeper.

Kashiwa play probably the best football of any Japanese team I've seen here in recent years

And Long is shown a yellow card

3-1 to Everton! John Lundstram on a cross from Hallam Hope.

Kashiwa pulls one back instantly! Ball played in to a forward who lays off to trailing midfielder, volleys it home. Beautiful.

The Kashiwa goal prompts Everton coach Neil Dewsnip to say, "If we keep messing around it will be 5-3 to then I'm telling you!"

Half Time: Everton 3 - 2 Kashiwa Reysol

Second half about to get underway. Kashiwa will have the stiff south wind at their back second half.

Everton defense having a ton of trouble with Kashiwa movement off the ball going forward

Dangerous free kick coming for Kashiwa... Everton are in trouble in this game. Still lead 3-2 though...

Free kick was blasted well over... poor effort.

Kashiwa close with a flick header that comes off the inside of the post and into Griffiths's hands.

Kashiwa Reysol have pulled level!! A defensive clearance bounces off an Everton player's back and falls to #11 who is in on goal and scores! 3-3!

4-3 Kashiwa are you kidding?! What a performance from the Japanese scrum in the box; Griffiths saves but the rebound is tapped home.

Final Score: Everton 3 - 4 Kashiwa Reysol.

With yesterday's opponents Coritiba winning their second game 7 - 0 over Bolivar, the Bracket C table now looks like this:

Kashiwa 2 1 1 0 5 4 +1 4
Coritiba 2 1 0 1 7 1 +6 3
Everton 2 1 0 1 4 4 +0 3
Bolivar 2 0 1 1 1 8 -7 1
The top team goes through to Friday's semi-final, along with the second-placed team having the best record across the three brackets.

Everton need to win and hope that Kashiwa draw with Coritiba... If Kashiwa wins, then they take the group with 7 pts. If Coritiba wins, then Everton need to win by a large magin to overcome their goal difference... but they don't know the target as Coritiba and Kashiwa kick off after this game finishes..

Everton and Bolivar have just kicked off... looks like the same lineup as Monday for the Blues.

1-0 Everton! Forrester cross is headed home by Hallam Hope after 10 mins.

2-0 Everton! Anton Forrester slides home a cross from what looked like Conor Grant sfter 14 mins. This one could get ugly!

3-0! Everton corner is headed on by Pennington and Forrester easily taps it in.

4-0! Hallam Hope with a fantastic solo run down the right rounds the keeper and slides it to Ross Barkley who taps home.

Penalty to Everton... long ball played to Forrester who is taken down on a silly challenge from Bolivar player. Forrester completes his first-half hat-trick from the spot.

Half-Time: Everton 5 - 0 Bolivar

The Twitter feed died in the second half but we know the final score...

Full Time: Everton 6 - 0 Bolivar

So Coritiba top the group while Everton finish with the best second-place record across the three groups and progress to the semi-finals on a wildcard.... to play Manchester United.

Bracket C Final Table:

	    Coritiba 3 2 0 1 11 2 +9 6
Everton 3 2 0 1 10 4 +6 6
Kashiwa 3 1 1 1 6 8 -2 4
Bolivar 3 0 1 2 1 14 -13 1

In the 8th minute and the score is 0-0, not really any chances for either side.

Man Utd take the lead in the 15th minute when Griffiths makes a good save off a gola-bound header but the rebound falls to Fornasier who puts it away.

Everton have trouble finding their feet, with United keeping all the possession, but they hold on until the break, with Utd having to substitute one of their players.

After the break, and Chris Long came in for Conor Grant.

55th minute and it's still 1-0 but game is starting to open up a bit, with Barkley looking dangerous.

The first good chance for Everton falls to Chris Long who flashes his shot wide of the post after 66 mins.

Everton come close again: a nice ball from Barkley to Forrester whose shot from close range pings around the box and is cleared out.

Eric Dier with a long-range effort... good but over the bar. Everton still down 1-0 but Forrester goes close and forces a great save.

With Everton in the ascendancy, Hallam Hope was shown a red card for stomping on a Manc... With 10 mins left, Jasper Johns came on for Gethin Jones.

Man Utd had pretty much parked the bus in the second half, and the sending off deflated the Blues, who had no answer to the impenetrable United defence.

And to rub salt in the wounds, United break while 10-men Everton are attacking, and they scored a second goal to wrap this one up.
