The fellas try to make sense of Everton's almost incomprehensibly bad showing at Bournemouth, an equally bad first hour at Newcastle and the contrasting display following that uncharacteristic triple-change by Sean Dyche in the 1-1 draw at St James's Park.

They debate whether Sean Dyche should be moved on this summer if the takeover goes through or whether it's a case of "better the devil you know" before looking ahead to the visit of Burnley and who should start in midfield in particular.

I agree with Paul T. What is the point of a new manager without a supporting recruitment strategy combined with a structure which builds the club for long-term progress?

With the current squad and financial situation, any new manager, however skilled and visionary, would likely last weeks rather than months. If ever a club was set up for managers to fail, it is Everton FC.

On the triple substitution, Dyche was already preparing to make them before the VAR goal was scored. Why did he on this occasion make his substitutions on the hour? Could it be that he had players like Calvert-Lewin, Gomes and Garner available to make a difference?

The point about using Gomes as a substitute rather than as a starter is well made. Using him in half-hour bursts has worked well.

Interesting photograph. There is a chap in a wheelchair and so I'd imagine this is a section for people with mobility / physical disabilities.
And so there is an individual in " fancy" dress with the purpose of poking fun at someone with imaginary short arms. How strange. But it is a droll part of the nation.

A good point it was.
Enjoyed that.

4 points off the Geordies this season will do me considering they were telling the whole world they would be winning the Champions League this season and have since the mid 90's made up this very faux rivalry with Everton Football Club for whoever knows what reason.

The point set the foundation for another 3 yesterday and a first win since mid December, but of course there's a long way to go and this week could see us stripped of a few of those points again.
