Another half-empty stadium for this All-Brazilian clash.

Don't know many of them, with Palmeiras apparently favoured but Botafogo have not lost in the last five games head-to-head.

At least it seems reasonably competitive in a typical South American fashion.

Fucking Collina among the Fifa elite on show... I just threw up my cream tea all over the keyboard.

Yeah, but they're playing in the wrong stadium. It's the home of the NFL champion Eagles and seats 68k. Neither of these clubs has much US following, and most of them are in Miami, not Philly.

Now that was a South American challenge.

Good shout Mike. My first visit to Miami surprised me, although it shouldn't have. There were parts, even in the downtown where Spanish was the first language. It was only when they realised you could speak native, they reverted to English.

Spanish was spoken a lot in San Antonio, Texas, where I spent a lot of time with work, but not as much as in Miami. Default was English.

I think what you say indicates, that they could have planned this competition better in terms of where teams play.

Never mind, we're off to Accrington Stanley next month and I've got my ticket!! I hope we don't get summer rain. There doesn't seem to be too much roof coverage.

I stepped away to watch the Rugby… then an episode of The Gold.

Say what you want about the BBC, the entire thing is brilliant — writing, casting, filming, characterisation — all six episodes are brilliant.

And we haven't even started Series 2!

I hope they go straight to penalties!

Danny, I can't imagine why the warm, gentle summer rain so common in England would impact your pleasure in watching the game!

(Kidding, of course.)

Have a great time.

Danny, contact me when you arrive in Accrington. I owe you big time. Or if you need a lift from Merseyside for the Accrington game, get yourself to Southport and I’ll drive you from there.
