Disclaimer () Bill Gall 1 Posted 01/02/2025 at 14:14:34 What did Brighton supporters say last week, about Everton, who would want to watch that every week, wonder if they are saying the same this week about Forest Bill Gall 2 Posted 01/02/2025 at 14:21:54 Brighton down 7.0 Ernie Baywood 3 Posted 01/02/2025 at 14:23:33 Interesting 6th goal. Came off the attacking player's arm and, in isolation, I'm sure that would be disallowed. But the player was fouled... so how do you untangle that one? Kevin Molloy 4 Posted 01/02/2025 at 14:23:44 teams are clearly just falling to pieces once we beat them. Not sure if this is good or bad. Michael Kenrick 5 Posted 01/02/2025 at 17:19:30 Lovely clever strike from Muniz to win it for Fulham against them Skunk Maggots! Paul Ferry 6 Posted 01/02/2025 at 18:36:02 4 HT subs for Villa; first time ever? Rob Halligan 7 Posted 01/02/2025 at 20:01:32 Any blues playing any RS in the FFL this game week, and making salad a captain, or triple captain, then fucking shame on you. 😡😡😡 Ron Sear 8 Posted 01/02/2025 at 20:12:11 Rob Halligan - Can you explain what it is you are exactly talking about, how can a lettuce based meal achieve an army rank? Paul Ferry 9 Posted 01/02/2025 at 21:10:57 Completely agree Rob. fecking shameless... just look at the lads in the ToffeeWeb league. Start with the fella in 1st position and work your way downwards mate. Rob Halligan 10 Posted 01/02/2025 at 21:26:24 How far do you want me to go down, Paul? The one in second place has salad as triple captain. Fucking shameless! Paul Ferry 11 Posted 01/02/2025 at 21:39:34 Totally agree Rob. It was nice to win that league last year and do one over those Salah worshipping shitbags. But the good people in our league don't have a chance in a season like this one. I could not put my FPL ambitions ahead of my pride and hatred of them. Rob Halligan 12 Posted 01/02/2025 at 21:53:37 The thing is, Paul, picking any red shite player in a double game week, and one of those games is against the team you allege to support, and making one of those bastards captain, means you want the gobshite players to do well, even against your own team. Fucking disgraceful. I hope all those people who have red shite players in their team this week are so proud of themselves. Paul Ferry 13 Posted 01/02/2025 at 23:07:57 I obviously have players from other teams playing against us Rob. It's very hard to avoid that. But we could call that the way it is perhaps. But to deliberately choose to have them in your side and three when they play us and of course again in a few weeks at their shite tall ground is blasphemy. I don't understand anyone on here who has a go at someone else who cannot stand them and wants them to lose and be damaged all the times. They did not grow up in Liverpool. It's in Everton DNA to hate them.I've kicked out 8 teams from our league for having one of them. Robert birks 14 Posted 02/02/2025 at 15:27:53 Come on Brentford ffs Ian Jones 15 Posted 02/02/2025 at 15:42:19 Everton Women beating Leicester Women 4-1Been a good weekend so far for Everton Mike Gaynes 16 Posted 02/02/2025 at 15:48:02 Ah, well, it was fun looking down on Spurs while it lasted. Liam Mogan 17 Posted 02/02/2025 at 15:57:11 Win our game on hand and we are above both spurs and man u...not getting carried away or anything but if we win 3 out of 4 of all our remaining league games we could make europe John Chambers 18 Posted 02/02/2025 at 16:23:53 Liam, I think 12th is not beyond the realms of possibility but lll settle for another 10 points first to make sure we stay up! Liam Mogan 19 Posted 02/02/2025 at 16:27:34 It was tongue in cheek tbh John! Danny O'Neill 20 Posted 02/02/2025 at 16:41:59 This will be repeated elsewhere. One point behind Tottenham & West Ham. Three behind United with a game in hand, better goal difference, as it stands, and we play them this month. Anything is possible in football. Who knows?? John Keating 21 Posted 02/02/2025 at 16:54:10 Spurs are shite! So called big 6 and wantsways to form this Super LeagueEmbarrassingHowever, watching them beating Brentford - somehow - a tenner on them winning the league might be worth itJust another team who historically have done nowt!Mind you Im biased as I had trials with them and they f…ed me off!I was a “cultured” left footer full back and they played me right wing! Those days we never cut inside. Left footer played left, right played right! John Keating 22 Posted 02/02/2025 at 17:05:00 Apologies for hogging the posts!I went on and on about us getting McGinn and for literally nothing he went VillaIve been harping on about a Dutch kid who plays attacking midfield for Twente over in Holland Sem SteijnNon stop box to box ideally suited to the PLSee he scored a couple todayHonestly we could get him for peanuts!Wheres our Dutch scouts ?????? Paul Ferry 23 Posted 02/02/2025 at 17:53:51 Email Thelwell John. He could do with your help.City on top and throw it away. Liam Mogan 24 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:04:55 So easy to score against Citee Paul Ferry 25 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:07:10 Even a team as shite as us could Liam ee by gum Bill Gall 26 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:07:18 When was City on top must have missed it as Arsenal score 4 Paul Ferry 27 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:08:39 first half Bill they were well on top did you blink Paul Ferry 28 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:11:25 quote from 5live commentator Bill. 'City have dominated huge passages of this game' Mike Gaynes 29 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:11:33 Wonder if Pep might call time on himself at the end of this season. Team has stopped responding, going through a divorce, think I recall he had back surgery... the man isn't having much fun right now. Tom Bowers 30 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:16:11 Man City's defending has been awful to say the least. When will defenders (and coaches) learn that clearing the ball properly instead of always trying to play it to each other in your own third can cost you dearly against the better pressing teams.Having said that City's woes seemed to start when Rodri got injured and they have struggled ever since. Yes I know one man doesn't make a team especially like City with a squad in depth but Pep seems to have lost the plot this season. Stu Gore 31 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:19:47 I reckon we can catch City at this rate….. Mike Gaynes 32 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:20:39 Well, Stu, their GD is certainly plummeting! Paul Ferry 33 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:21:06 17 years old.A very poor second-string keeper doesn't help Tom. Paul Ferry 34 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:22:58 Foden lost City that game. They were on top when he fucked up for Arsenal's second. Paul Ferry 35 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:36:09 Shite 6 points ahead of the gooners with a game in hand which they will lose. Gooners go to the shite's corrugated iron dump on May 10.We need the spirit of 1989. (Our ladies put 4 past Leicester) Colin Glassar 36 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:44:03 Peps team/tactics look tired and old. A reflection on him? His now robotic style of football is very passé and everyones cottoned on to it. He can join the club of ‘The Arrogant Ones now, alongside Jose and klopp. Paul Tran 37 Posted 02/02/2025 at 18:46:47 City got complacent with their recruitment and are paying the price. They look like a broken machine with no spare parts in the storeroom. Danny O'Neill 38 Posted 02/02/2025 at 19:00:13 Id go with that Mike G.I just had a Quick look. Ignoring his time with Barcelona B, during his managerial career, 4 years as Barcelona Head Coach, 3 years at Bayern. Hes going into or in his 9th year at City.Gone a bit stale and in need of a new challenge or environment? Paul Ferry 39 Posted 02/02/2025 at 19:03:39 City might have the 2nd oldest squad after us. They might as well use the rest of the season to rethink line ups and experiment with ideas and players. Silva, De Bruyne, Walker, Gundogan need to go. They would not miss Kovacic apart from the odd worldy. Nunes is not good enough.Nor is Grealish (big mistake). Playing to and through Haaland is becoming predicatable and problematic as the tippy-tappy crap. Liam Mogan 40 Posted 02/02/2025 at 19:16:50 Grealish is an ale-can and all round party boy (i know that direct from somone who works for him) Christy Ring 41 Posted 02/02/2025 at 19:29:43 City defence absolutely shocking, midfield totally overrun, non existent, I know Rodri is a massive loss, but how he picks Silva every week, was a fabulous player, but he's finished, Grealish was excellent in midfield for Villa, but he's picked as a winger by Pep? Paul Ferry 42 Posted 02/02/2025 at 19:31:56 I wouldn't mind going to one of his parties though Liam. Where will he be next season? Chelsea (hmmm)? Villa? Forest? Spuds? Man Utd? Somewhere across the Channel? Colin Crooks 43 Posted 02/02/2025 at 19:35:50 "Grealish is an ale can"So was Garrincha, Maradona, Best, Whiteside, The very brilliant McGath, Moore. Robson, Reid, Kendal, Gazza and slim Jim Baxter - What a player he was.The lads today have to hide their social lives because there is always some c..t hanging around ready to capture any bad behavior on their phone. But I simply named a few drinkers off the top. If at the end of time The Lord commands St Peter to arrange a game between the best sober eleven and the best team of drinkers. My money will deffo be going on the piss heads Robert Tressell 44 Posted 02/02/2025 at 19:40:37 Guardiola has gone a bit stale. But time, injuries and poor recruitment have caught up with them. Player for player, the current team isn't a patch on the team that was so dominant a few years ago. Liam Mogan 45 Posted 02/02/2025 at 19:48:43 You missed Bernie 'The Bolt' Wright off your list Colin Paul Ferry 46 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:05:34 Who is "McGath"?And nearly all the 84-85 team Liam, who, if there was no game, would be in The Weld Blundell on the Formby bypass on Wednesday nights knocking back the ale before and after the doors were shut. I once had the pleasure of seeing Alan Harper throwing up in the car park. They would also go to Sands and Toad Hall in Ainsdale, across the road from Pontins. Dave Abrahams 47 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:17:02 Paul(46) Paul is McGath ——Paul McGrath the brilliant but injury prone centre back who played for Man.Unt before Ferguson got rid of him because of his drinking, I think he went to Aston Villa, an Irish international with Eire. Paul Ferry 48 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:20:21 Thanks Dave. I remember him well. On the largish side. Yes, he was great at Villa too. I think he wrote that he attempted suicide after he left Man-Utd, and that was not his only attempt. Ray Roche 49 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:23:20 Paul@39Walker left last week Paul. Danny O'Neill 50 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:25:29 Dave A, Paul,If I remember correctly, McGrath used to not train to try and keep him fit for matches. Paul Ferry 51 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:25:38 Wasn't it on loan Ray? Am I wrong? Thanks for the correction. Liam Mogan 52 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:26:03 I can recommend Paul McGraths autobiography. His battle with alcoholism destroyed his life and he's very open about that. Superb footballer, who accepts that he'd have been twice the player if he hadn't drunk. Quite sad that he only started due to his lack of confidence and troubled childhood. Paul Ferry 53 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:26:36 I absolutely remember that being the case Danny. He said it took him to 2014 to be able to think clearly. Dave Abrahams 54 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:30:43 Danny (50) Yes Danny McGrath had very light training sessions during the week so he was fit for the league games, a great footballing centre back. Paul Ferry 55 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:43:26 I remember him as a great passer of the ball Dave. Am I right? Amazing with all the injuries and everything else in his head that he still managed nearly 500 league games and over 80 for the Republic. Liam Mogan 56 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:48:14 Good passer of the ball. He played CM for Ireland regularly and had the skill set to do so. Ray Roche 57 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:54:17 Paul@51Yes Paul, its initially a loan but with an option to buy. Hes apparently not intending to return to City, maybe his off field shenanigans are getting to him. Whatever, hes off Citys books. Tony Abrahams 58 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:56:10 We are what we are and this leads me to believe that he possibly wouldnt have been a much better footballer if he didnt drink, or if he was, he might not have enjoyed playing a game, that went hand and hand with drinking in those days so much? The Maradona documentary was very sad, but I think its quite possible the street kid, from Argentina, enjoyed his time in the lunacy of Naples, possibly more than anywhere else (until it went sour, it was always destined to go sour) and you could argue also played his best football, by being allowed to party from after the game on Sunday, until the Wednesday, before taking a few days to get himself right for the following Sunday🤷♂️Who knows? But thats how I personally think this is how many geniuses are wired Paul Ferry 59 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:59:01 Tony A: 'he possibly wouldnt have been a much better footballer if he didnt drink'. There could well be a lot of truth in that Tony. It sounds like he played on his own terms at Villa. Liam Mogan 60 Posted 02/02/2025 at 20:59:45 I don't think Paul McGrath enjoyed his drinking much tbh Tony. It was very much of the solo drinking into oblivion kind. A very unhappy man with a lot of demons and mental health problems. He had a lot of injury issues also, which was why he didn't really train, rather than his lifestyle. Think the injuries, downtime and drinking often went hand in hand. Paul Ferry 61 Posted 02/02/2025 at 21:28:17 One of the saddest things Liam is drinking vodka early in the morning as PM did. I'm dead happy to hit the vino but when it's dark outside. He looks good now:https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2023/03/20/paul-mcgrath-interview-aston-villa-man-united-ireland-god/ I had a mate Liam, used to be a regular in our reserves, was on the bench once or twice. Injuries beat him in his early twenties. I got to go boozing with Joe McBride, Pat Heard, and Paul Lodge who became good mates. Anyway, my mate ended up in his 30s/40s drinking a bottle of vodka before work and then his highly talented son died aged 18 heart attack at one of the sports centres in Everton Valley. Mark Murphy 62 Posted 02/02/2025 at 21:35:12 Have I missed something? Dont tell me Paul McGrath has died? He was great him. Very sad news. Liam Mogan 63 Posted 02/02/2025 at 21:35:51 I love a good drink Paul. But one person's good time is another person's hell on earth. That's the difference with dependency. A lot of alcoholics also have personal tragedies like your pal. Its a complex relationship the human race has with drink. Paul Ferry 64 Posted 02/02/2025 at 21:37:29 Jeez, I didn't know there a supporters club in Nebraska. The Cornhusker Toffees! This is interesting. A map of each state with the club crest of the team with the most hits on the supporters and club sites. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10232431005014351&set=g.428638210538662 Paul Ferry 65 Posted 02/02/2025 at 21:38:18 Don't worry Mark. PM is still with us mate. Tony Abrahams 66 Posted 02/02/2025 at 21:39:22 Footballers used to get so much downtime or free time that it was only natural that they ended up going to the pub Liam. They probably still get It now but the physical nature of the game today means its almost impossible to drink much, simply because most of your opponents wont.I had a mate at Forest, who was teetotal and yet ended up in jail because alcohol incredibly got a grip of him. I always think if I had stayed in Nottingham I might have saved him, but the chances are that Id have probably been drinking with him more often than I wasnt.Hes got his life back together and me being me I will probably have an open discussion as to why he turned to drinking, because I think I know the answer, (a personal tragedy) and I'm certain this fella, would never have really enjoyed drinking, because he would have done it a lot sooner if he did.It usually starts with wanting to have the banter, but because he wasnt this way inclined, then it must have been the pressure of life, and before he knew it, he had put himself into a very bad place.Life is such a journey, and although I hardly drink myself anymore, this will definitely change if Everton win the cup🤞😭 Liam Mogan 67 Posted 02/02/2025 at 21:46:12 It was either the pub of the betting shop for a lot of players Dave. Probably also influenced by the working class background of the majority. There's so many examples - Kenny Sansom was another. Only drank to join in and not feel left out. Most people can drink but not become alcoholics, but the minority are not so fortunate. If Everton win anything again I'll definitely be opening that bottle of Lagavulin I've been saving! Tony Abrahams 68 Posted 02/02/2025 at 21:51:21 You have just reminded me of Trigger, by calling me Dave, Liam, so thanks for the little smile mate, and hopefully you are cracking open that bottle in May👍 Paul Ferry 69 Posted 02/02/2025 at 21:52:44 I can never forget that picture of Kenny Sansom passed out by that tree in broad daylight with the bottle there. He missed Arsenal's greatest ever match by 9 months or so. He scored a goal for us, didn't he? Liam Mogan 70 Posted 02/02/2025 at 21:54:01 Sorry Tony, get you 2 mixed up. Both of you talk sense! Liam Mogan 71 Posted 02/02/2025 at 21:55:19 Yes he did Paul, I was at the game! He was a shadow of himself as a player by then and full blown alcoholic. Was a great player in his prime though. Paul Ferry 72 Posted 02/02/2025 at 22:01:33 On his debut Liam v Spurs (1-2), lovely chipped through ball by Billy Kenny (a goal made in druggy land). We dropped into the bottom three that day in February 1993.Jaysus, all those empty seats.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ks6bKVVNsvA Liam Mogan 73 Posted 02/02/2025 at 22:08:30 At a few parties where Billy was present in the 90s. Not a lad to look at straight in the eye. Paul Ferry 74 Posted 02/02/2025 at 22:09:45 Him and George Green Liam. GG was at 16 clubs in 2015-2023. Liam Mogan 75 Posted 02/02/2025 at 22:17:37 George Green's from Cleckheaton, just around the corner from my gaff Paul (Danny Cadamarteri from there also). Bit of a loon they say, but sober now. Still playing in non-league I think. Paul Ferry 76 Posted 02/02/2025 at 22:22:25 For Thackley AFC Liam at the 'Thank You Key Workers Stadium', near Bradford. Jeez, he's still only 29. Matt Traynor 77 Posted 03/02/2025 at 07:12:13 That's a name from the past - George Green. I'm reasonably sure when we signed him, a thread developed on the news page, as per normal, and (shock, horror) a couple of Blues weren't too enamoured by the move (I'm sure he was only a schoolboy at the time). Then one of his parents joined the thread to say he'd develop into a great player - pretty sure in my memory that's the only time a player's relative got in on ToffeeWeb! Paul Ferry 78 Posted 03/02/2025 at 07:30:58 15 Matt on 2K a week and 45K signing bonus Paul Ferry 79 Posted 03/02/2025 at 07:32:09 I'm a relative of Terry Darracott Matt Tony Abrahams 80 Posted 03/02/2025 at 09:24:16 One of the best goals I ever seen at Goodison Pk, was scored by Kenny Sansom, if my memory is correct, when we knocked out the Arsenal team that had played in three consecutive cup finals. The noise at Goodison that day was brilliant, and it got even better in the fourth round, when Vodka was replaced by Varadi, after we knocked out loveable neighbours out.The fifth round replay was even louder, and I couldnt believe the attendance was only 47000 because there was complete pandemonium inside Goodison, when OKeefe, scored.City had about 15000 at Goodison, and looked to be our next victims, until Jim McDonaugh inexplicably ran out of his goal for Kevin Reeves, to lift it over his head. What memories? And even though we never got to Wembley, I still remember that cup run, a lot more than some of the seasons we became best of the rest.I cant wait to win the cup again 💙 Dave Abrahams 81 Posted 03/02/2025 at 15:35:07 Paul (75) Yes an awful lot of money for a very young lad who had tons of ability but his temperament was way off key, I think he went on loan to Tranmere and scored a marvellous goal which was on TV and you hoped he could pick himself up, or someone close to him, and realise what he could do with that skill he had if only he could straighten himself out.Too much too soon doesnt help an awful lot of young people and not just in football.Liam (73), Young Billy Kennys bark wasnt has bad as his bite, I think he liked a laugh more than a fight but Tony could tell you a lot more about him than me. I knew his dad better, Bilbo an absolute gent. Paul Ferry 82 Posted 03/02/2025 at 19:58:26 Where would we be without the Abrahams' and their links, connections, relationships, experiences, and know how? Thank God they chose ToffeeWeb rather than GOT, who might still put in a last-minute bid before the window slams shut.Sanchez not starting. The Chelsea gaffer finally gets it. Paul Ferry 83 Posted 03/02/2025 at 20:24:28 How the feck did Palmer miss that? Paul Ferry 84 Posted 03/02/2025 at 20:43:33 He's back, he scored. I think that Potter might have enjoyed that. Paul Ferry 85 Posted 05/02/2025 at 19:22:08 Fecking skunks playing the Pogues. I wish that we would do something in our matchday playlist that recognises a proper Evertonian in Shane who said some lovely things about the shite. Liam Mogan 86 Posted 05/02/2025 at 20:01:00 Rainy Night in Soho always hits me in the heart, Paul.Shane MacGowan was a great songwriter, up there in the pantheon with your man, Micheal Head, amongst others. Liam Mogan 87 Posted 05/02/2025 at 20:04:03 Anthony Gordon's hairdo is straight out of Herbert's Salon on Hanover Street Paul Ferry 88 Posted 05/02/2025 at 20:41:39 Love that song Liam. Thousands are sailing would get the crowd rocking. Body of An American: there would be chaos. Love The Wire, I actually think that Gordon thinks that he looks good. Skunks in the final completes one half of Big Rob's horror final. Paul Ferry 89 Posted 05/02/2025 at 21:10:19 Gordon had to score that the knob Paul Ferry 90 Posted 05/02/2025 at 21:14:55 Ah feck, six fucking weeks of how great skunk fans are - the city will close down for a week - listen to that noise - the long wait for a trophy etc. Paul Turner 91 Posted 05/02/2025 at 21:20:36 Thousands Are Sailing - great song, but not one of Shane's... written by Phil Chevron. Paul Ferry 92 Posted 05/02/2025 at 21:28:30 Cheers Paul, great info (perhaps we could sneak the vocals in and forget who wrote it!!] Ray Roche 93 Posted 05/02/2025 at 21:30:08 “ Herbert's Salon on Hanover Street”Isnt that where wannabe sheep shearers go to practice?🤔 Paul Hewitt 94 Posted 05/02/2025 at 21:39:12 I can of hope the rs win tomorrow, then batter the skunks in the final. If they win there first trophy in nearly 60 years we won't hear the end of it. Paul Ferry 95 Posted 05/02/2025 at 21:40:43 Nah Hewey. We have to hope that Spuds get a lot off their injury list before the final. Paul Hewitt 96 Posted 05/02/2025 at 21:43:17 Spurs ain't beating the rs tomorrow PF. Not a chance Paul Ferry 97 Posted 05/02/2025 at 21:44:51 draw will be absolutely fine Jeff Armstrong 98 Posted 05/02/2025 at 21:48:06 RS v Skunks in the final? talk about Hobsons choice FFS. Paul Ferry 99 Posted 05/02/2025 at 21:49:58 Is there a way that we could get the whole thing stopped Jeff? We need a meteor to hit Earth. Paul Hewitt 100 Posted 05/02/2025 at 22:02:56 Just read that anyone interested in buying Spurs would have to pay as much as 6 Billion. What the hell for? Paul Ferry 101 Posted 05/02/2025 at 22:17:32 It's a lovely wealthy part of London? Paul Kossoff 102 Posted 05/02/2025 at 22:18:17 Paul Hewitt, I've heard everything now, an Everton supporter wanting the red shite to win a game never mind a cup, shame on you, Unbelievable!!! Rob Halligan 103 Posted 05/02/2025 at 22:35:22 Worst nightmare come true. You couldnt have three worst team to hate than the three left in the carabao cup. If the RS win tomorrow then its got to be the skunk maggots I want to win. If spurs somehow manage to get through then its them I want to win. Paul Ferry 104 Posted 05/02/2025 at 22:41:00 Do you want me to send over a Gordon #10 skunks top for the final Rob? Medium? Rob Halligan 105 Posted 05/02/2025 at 23:25:28 A Richarlison # 9 would be better, Paul. 🤞🤞🤞 Paul Ferry 106 Posted 05/02/2025 at 23:58:28 Ok, let's see how the game goes tomorrow mate. Danny O'Neill 107 Posted 06/02/2025 at 18:15:51 Well Rob,The dog is fed and I'm off out. I have to pick up a prescription from Boots and then I'll go and sit amongst Kopites & Tottenham supporters.I did recall this morning travelling back with the Spurs followers a few weeks ago.Amongst others, they were singing the "Spurs are on their way to Wembley" song, the Ossie Ardiles "in dee cup for Tottenham" one.It was funny because they inserted a few echo lyrics:"Spurs are on their way to Wembley (are we f@%k), Tottenham's going to do it again (no we're not). Followed by a chorus of "Levy out"!! Scott Hamilton 108 Posted 06/02/2025 at 19:55:26 The Germans are famous for having a word for almost any situation.Have they got one for willing your biggest rivals to lose in dramatic fashion?Roter Scheiße zerstört is the best Google can give me and thats not one word so isnt fit for purpose, clearly.Come on Paul F, youre a classically educated egghead… Paul Ferry 109 Posted 06/02/2025 at 19:57:09 Bereiten Sie Ihre größten Rivalen vor, auf dramatische Weise zu verlierenMUTE MUTE MUTE MUTE MUTE MUTE MUTEYour are right Scott. The losers of two world wars do seem have a words over six syllables for everything. All sweet so far. Scott Hamilton 110 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:00:06 Paul - Haha! Thats very literal but even more unwieldy than mine!Im thinking something like: Scheissefuckintwatted or similar. If it doesnt exist, Ive just invented it. Just need Elon Musk to invent an arm signal for it. Rob Halligan 111 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:04:24 That Van Dyke is one fucking gobshite. Mike Gaynes 112 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:04:28 Richi checking in with some early dramatics. Scott Hamilton 113 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:09:14 Id carry Richarlison over broken glass all the way from North London to Goodison/Bramley Moore if thats what it took. Id even bleach my hair and occasionally throw myself to the floor as if Id been attacked if it helped. A neck tattoo isnt off the table TBH. Oliver Molloy 114 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:09:29 Mike, we all know what Richy is like, but dirty VD should have been booked there - knew exactly what he was doing. hope Richy scores.. Mike Gaynes 115 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:16:36 Scott, imagine the roar he'd get at BMD walking out in our shirt again. Scott Hamilton 116 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:21:25 Mike, itd be amazing.I feel like hes the only decent player of recent years that gets us.Im gonna book that neck tattoo, just in case. Nothing says ‘talented but frequently injured premier league footballer like some gang-style ink. Mike Gaynes 117 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:22:43 You're a braver man than I, Scott.Post photos please. Scott Hamilton 118 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:26:22 Mike - Im not sure the insurance industry is ready for it just yet. Maybe a henna version? Mike Gaynes 119 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:32:50 Scott, that stuff works well for my eyebrows! Paul Ferry 120 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:33:56 The man from OZ has not yet had a 0-0 draw with Spurs.AH SHITE Mike Gaynes 121 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:34:37 Ah, damn. Rob Halligan 122 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:35:14 Not having one tonight either, Paul. 😡😡 Scott Hamilton 123 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:35:34 Apparently so, Mike, although Im already Thunderbirds-esque in that department so dont need the assistance.Oh FFS!!! RS twats!!! Scott Hamilton 124 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:37:02 Apparently Oslos like a fucking ghost town tonight. Just saying. Scott Hamilton 125 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:39:24 I think having a manger called ‘Ange is a mixed bag.I used to have one years ago and she was lovely. Used to bring cakes in for everyone etc. Maybe Levy shouldve gone for her? Stuart Sharp 126 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:40:32 Rank the 3 teams in order of who you'd like to win this cup... not easy. I'm thinking of checking into therapy, because I reckon I'd put the filth in the middle. Guess I'm becoming immune to them winning this competition, whereas I'd absolutely love for the skunks to continue winning sack all. I mean, I'm no lover of spuds, and certainly not the Aussie whinger, but at least they've got Richie. Paul Ferry 127 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:43:25 should not have posted that Rob Mike Gaynes 128 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:45:05 Richi injured. Coming off. Scott Hamilton 129 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:48:41 That Carragher twat is going to sound like a helium-abusing dolphin at half-time. Mike Gaynes 130 Posted 06/02/2025 at 20:53:33 You've got some top metaphors working today, Scott. Mike Gaynes 131 Posted 06/02/2025 at 21:15:19 Ah, well, I do believe it's time to walk the dog. Scott Hamilton 132 Posted 06/02/2025 at 21:16:34 Mike - Im hoping thats a sexual euphemism. Jim Bennings 133 Posted 06/02/2025 at 21:17:42 McCoist creaming his kilt watching the Wall pushers here, alright Ally lad, we hear ya mate. Craig Walker 134 Posted 06/02/2025 at 21:25:00 Honestly dont know who Id want to lose the most between the RS and the barcodes. Hate ‘em both. Scott Hamilton 136 Posted 06/02/2025 at 21:29:48 I cant remember all the lyrics to I am The Walrus but Slots definitely the Eggman. Liam Mogan 137 Posted 06/02/2025 at 21:37:00 Absolutely gutted at tonight's premier league result. Wanted Littler to get through. 115 average and still goes out. Sorry wrong premier league forum Paul Ferry 138 Posted 06/02/2025 at 21:37:02 has to be the shite Craig, glum as it is Jim Bennings 139 Posted 06/02/2025 at 21:40:11 CraigThe Shite will destroy the Barcodes lad.As much as I hate admitting it The Shite are playing at an unbelievable level again, probably even better than under the Laughing Cow Klopp. What gets me is how fit these fuckers are, they never tired, I can't get my head around how it's legal. Craig Walker 141 Posted 06/02/2025 at 21:42:35 Klopps passed his secret juice recipe to Slot plus the contact details for his inhaler suppliers. Edward Rogers 142 Posted 06/02/2025 at 21:44:21 Don't think I've ever seen a player not want to be on the pitch as much as this Tel fella for Tottenham, absolutely shite. Scott Hamilton 143 Posted 06/02/2025 at 21:44:25 Anyway, not sure if theres anything on the telly tonight but I need to rearrange my sock drawer… Robert Birks 144 Posted 06/02/2025 at 21:55:36 Honest questions lads. How biased and sincere is McCoist to the Luvverpool cause. He absolutely loves them and doesn't try to hide his unadulterated bias.Get him off my tv Mike Gaynes 145 Posted 06/02/2025 at 22:00:21 Euphemism, Scott? Liam Mogan 146 Posted 06/02/2025 at 22:03:50 ABSOLUTELY!!! Robert 144 Scott Hamilton 147 Posted 06/02/2025 at 22:11:38 Mike - Yeah, Im hoping ‘walk the dog is like ‘doing the wheelbarrow or something. Mike Gaynes 148 Posted 06/02/2025 at 22:17:41 Scott, I was asking about 'sock drawer'... Mike Gaynes 149 Posted 06/02/2025 at 22:17:50 Scott Hamilton 150 Posted 06/02/2025 at 22:24:35 Mike - Haha! And I thought I was the twisted one! No, its an indirect reference to that underrated Arnie movie, Last Action Hero. Rob Halligan 151 Posted 06/02/2025 at 22:27:05 Robert # 144……..theres nobody worse than Skys Peter “Ive just cum in my Kecks” Drury. The excitement that drools out of his gob every time one of those gobshites scores, especially Salad, is unreal. Scott Hamilton 152 Posted 06/02/2025 at 22:33:51 Lets be honest though, if we were running away with the league and playing free-flowing football youd expect eulogies from the various sporting media. It just hurts when its that shower of c-words… Mike Price 153 Posted 06/02/2025 at 23:00:46 Scott #113Theres lots of Spurs fans that would happily drive Richarlison to Everton, they dont rate him at all! Stuart Sharp 154 Posted 06/02/2025 at 23:08:53 McCoist always claims to be a Chelsea fan. I think he just goes over the top about any good team. Peter Drury, on the other hand... it's just embarrassing. What a way to make a living. Colin Glassar 155 Posted 06/02/2025 at 23:18:54 Just watched 10 minutes of (episode 1) a Liverpool based series called, Gwed. Embarrassingly bad and your normal, stereotypical scouser. Id even prefer to watch the rs than any more of that garbage. Ed Prytherch 156 Posted 07/02/2025 at 00:16:29 Drury has a little pneumatic device that squeezes his nuts when he presses a button. He just has to push the button when someone scores. Then he can go back to reciting useless history and statistics.Or maybe Graeme Le Saux has the button. Mike Gaynes 157 Posted 07/02/2025 at 02:30:29 Ed, I'd bet on Le Saux. He's got that smirk going on. Paul Hewitt 158 Posted 07/02/2025 at 06:25:51 Least the skunks ain't winning a trophy this season. We'd never hear the end of it if they did. Derek Knox 159 Posted 07/02/2025 at 06:29:05 Slightly off topic, but I sincerely hope that the strongest side possible is picked for the game against Bournemouth. I am not suggesting that the Premiership is not important, but while we have made significant strides to get above the relegation pack. A decent Cup run is not only long awaited, but apart from survival in the Premiership, is about all we have to look forward to. Andrew Ellams 160 Posted 07/02/2025 at 07:58:42 Paul H, they may not be but imagine the media wetting themselves with excitement if it's the other lot that finally does the quadruple. Rob Halligan 161 Posted 07/02/2025 at 08:19:59 Paul# 158…….let me give you a little bit of a geography lesson……Newcastle from Liverpool is roughly about 175 miles away. Thats 175 miles between us and those skunk maggots. They can scream away to their hearts content as far as Im concerned if they win the carabao cup, it wont bother me, and we wont hear them. The RS, on the other hand, are on our doorstep, and I dont like them winning so much as an egg cup, never mind the carabao cup and probably the league title this season, and getting it rammed down our throats ever day, every time we step out the front door, or go the pub, the shops, walk the dog or whatever. So no, for one day only, I will be supporting Newcastle. UP THE TOON! Mick O'Malley 162 Posted 07/02/2025 at 08:26:57 Rob spot on, I'm praying that Newcastle win the Carabao Cup, they can crow away all they want, as you say they are miles away where as the pub I drink in the kopites will be rubbing it in my face if they win it, Newcastle are absolutely irrelevant to me as I don't know anyone who supports them, I couldn't care less what Newcastle fans think of us or what they win Brian Williams 163 Posted 07/02/2025 at 08:28:02 I'll second that Rob. I'd even cheer Gordon scoring the winner. Paul Hewitt 164 Posted 07/02/2025 at 09:08:30 When I was a kid the thought of the rs winning anything was horrible. The fact I'm now in my mid fifties and don't careless what they do, far far more important things to worry about. My 2 rs brothers have stopped taking the piss out of my years ago now. They see us as insignificant. Brian Harrison 165 Posted 07/02/2025 at 09:57:43 I see Liverpool City Council produced their 30 minute exclusion zone that will come into force when we move to BMD, although this stadium has been years in the planning and building seems like no consideration has been given to the fans. As far as I can see there are no parking provisions for fans and we will all have a 30 minute walk to the stadium, how absurd. I see the Mayor of Liverpool was pleased to show the new barriers that have been erected at Sandhills railway station, to help fans queue for a train, brilliant. So if its raining unlucky as the barriers have no cover over them, and how frequent are these trains going to run to help get a fair proportion of the 52,000 away from the ground.I see the fans forum are asking fans to get in touch and someone said I am disabled and couldnt possibly walk for 30 minutes, yet their is no blue badge facility for disabled fans to get to the game.I think the club and Liverpool City Council should be thoroughly ashamed as to have let the fans down so badly. Considering we have new American owners who have fabulous parking facilities at all their sporting venues, I would imagine American sports fans wouldnt be treated so shabbily.I cant understand why our editors havent done an article about this, as it effects every match going fan. Les Callan 166 Posted 07/02/2025 at 09:59:31 I can see the headline now - “ The Lot For Slot “. Heaven help us. Paul Hewitt 167 Posted 07/02/2025 at 10:11:43 There's loads of wasteland round BMD. Why didn't the club buy some, then turn it into a carpark? Danny O'Neill 168 Posted 07/02/2025 at 10:15:38 Brian,I was only having a similar conversation with my brother yesterday. With so much focus on the stadium, the other plans previously mentioned such as renovation of the northern docks has barely had a mention of late, and it looks as though transportation is going to be an after thought.Even if they build a car park, that will be interesting with there being one road. Unless you're a taxi driver who can navigate those surrounding streets!!!Google Maps, which now has BMD down as Everton Football Club incidentally, has it down as a 30 minute walk from either James Street or Moorfields, if approaching from town. Depending on your pace obviously!!Sandhills is a bit closer (15 minutes), but those barriers won't be a good experience. I'm already thinking of trying to get on the platform at Brighton after the match!!!My brother is predicting chaos at the first game and a delayed kick off!! Brian Williams 169 Posted 07/02/2025 at 10:19:26 City centre is a six-eight minute cab ride away from BMD.Can't get much better than that. Danny, it'll only be chaos if the usual suspects turn up five/ten minutes before kick-off and expect to be in their seat before Z Cars. Sometimes it's the fault of those attending who refuse to leave the pub in good time. James Hughes 170 Posted 07/02/2025 at 10:25:17 Brian, 165 Thanks for the heads up, that plan is disgraceful. I hopre there are plenty of buses planned I need a second knee replacement as my lovely NHS cancelled my operation. No way in the world can I walk 30 minutes each way. Surely under The Disabilty act provisions must be in place Brian Williams 171 Posted 07/02/2025 at 10:47:52 James I think there's plenty of disabled access and seating at the stadium but not sure it's the clubs responsibility to provide appropriate travel arrangements. Jack Convery 172 Posted 07/02/2025 at 10:59:01 When we played Villa in the League Cup final, the RS referred to it as the Mickey Mouse Cup ! Hypocrites !! Eugene Stalker 173 Posted 07/02/2025 at 11:03:36 Paul 164 I am similar age to you & growing up with rs winning everything was horrible (practically all my dad's family including him support them) but like you I have far more important things in my life to worry about . As the song goes "I don't care what the rs say" and I genuinely don't. I am not going to waste one second of my life thinking about or reacting to them. Why should I ? All I want is Everton to win. Barry Williams 174 Posted 07/02/2025 at 11:04:48 As quite a few have said - the transportation/parking just doesn't seem to have been given the necessary attention or planning that it deserves or is needed. The stadium looks fantastic - and there seems to be a lot of consideration given to the holistic match experience - once you are in the stadium. However, this doesn't seem to apply to the whole day and the matchday approach to the stadium. Saturdays - a day when people, none football fans, are out doing there thing; add in 52,000 or so all making their way to the stadium at roughly the same time - a place where there seems to be no parking or adequate road system, rail system, or indeed ferry system - well, yes - it seems it will be pretty disorganised and not befitting a stadium of such magnificence. It will be a lesson for the owners - do not put any trust in the local councils, the local governments, the national governments, or indeed the powers that be in football. They'd possibly be better off purchasing the land themselves, constructing multi-story carparks and getting revenue of that. The council would benefit financially from the land sales! But then again, what do I know!? Paul Hewitt 175 Posted 07/02/2025 at 11:28:10 Eugene @173. Absolutely spot on. The thing that gets me is you don't have to watch the rs, loads of other games on last night. I watched Valencia play Barcelona. Nothing in the world would make me watch them. But I wouldn't watch them then moan about it. Barry Williams 176 Posted 07/02/2025 at 11:37:14 Eugene Stalker - 173I have always disliked that line in that song - as by its inclusion - then logically, we must care! James Hughes 177 Posted 07/02/2025 at 12:08:52 Brian, it wasn't the club I was referring to, it was the council, sorry for not being clear. Brian Williams 178 Posted 07/02/2025 at 12:26:21 Ah James, ok, understood, no apology necessary mate. Mark Murphy 179 Posted 07/02/2025 at 12:28:18 To paraphrase Peter ReidHaway the fcuking lads! Dave Abrahams 180 Posted 15/02/2025 at 11:12:08 Come on editors get on to Pemier league no. 25 youre a week behind, chop chop laziness is definitely not a virtue, leave it any later and you are on a verbal warning which leads to a yellow card! Dave Abrahams 181 Posted 15/02/2025 at 17:28:26 Our position has improved after todays games, I hope we improve it further after the Palace game, onwards and upwards. Dave Abrahams 182 Posted 16/02/2025 at 14:46:28 Another penalty for Salah and their fans have the cheek to moan about VAR—-they are 2-0 up this on Matchweek number 25, now that Michael is back they might start using it, no rush today with those crying so and sos winning although you could use it later on for the United V Spurs game. Paul Birmingham 183 Posted 16/02/2025 at 15:05:17 Typical conscious bias by another Cackhouse referee. That's x4, RS redcards not given since Wednesday night, onbthe basis of repeat offences.Lingering stench over the RS. Paul Birmingham 184 Posted 16/02/2025 at 15:18:24 Well that's another cack house descision, if itstands ! Paul Birmingham 185 Posted 16/02/2025 at 15:19:26 Should be booked for cheating as well.FTRS! Rob Halligan 186 Posted 16/02/2025 at 15:19:45 Blatant dive by Jota and Hooper fell for it. Luckily penalty overturned by VAR but Jota escapes a yellow card for the dive.
