Season › 2024-25 › Opinion › Talking Points Meeting players pre-game? by Sam Bowley | 29/07/2024 8 Comments [Jump to last] Hello all, I'm bringing my kids to the Roma friendly and wandering if anyone knows if you can wait and see the players arriving and grab autographs? I know they stopped doing it during Covid; does anyone know if it was reintroduced or now a thing of the past? Disclaimer () Tony Abrahams 1 Posted 29/07/2024 at 11:37:08 The players usually park their cars in the little car park behind the Park End, Sam, but I don't know if you can get close to them anymore, mate. James Hughes 2 Posted 29/07/2024 at 11:52:34 But apparently close enough to put Little Miss Dynamite in a headlock, strange that. Still no CCTV either, doubly strange … Brian Williams 3 Posted 29/07/2024 at 12:05:14 James,That happened in one of the lounges, not outside the ground. Mike Hayes 5 Posted 29/07/2024 at 13:15:59 Pre-covid, they used to block off the Park End where the car park is with barriers. They used to come out there and sign and have photos taken Seamus always used to — some come out by the Goodison Road car park just after the ticket office inside ground. Usually let the kids get signatures and photos first. James Hughes 7 Posted 29/07/2024 at 14:16:10 Brian, that is not what I read, the first reports stated It was in the car park. That is even worse if it is a lounge, there must be multiple witnesses and defo some CCTV.. Meanwhile the good and faithfful fans got slated amid claims of threats to the directors. They tried to blame the fans. They vacated their seats, they stayed away in times of crisis, when the club needed leadership. They walked away and got paid huge amounts for messing up. So if the 'alleged' incident happened in the car park or a lounge, makes no difference. Ray Roche 8 Posted 29/07/2024 at 15:20:12 I frequently walk through the concourse outside the Park End by the large car park. Being a bit of a petrol head I stroll by the players cars, just to see what they are squandering their money on these days. (£200k oversized SUVs actually). So, judging by the private number plates as well as the cars, I think that they park there and walk through the corner between the Park End and Bullens Road. I have seen squad players there posing for photos with the fans some days. Gerry Morrison 10 Posted 10/08/2024 at 20:56:49 Alan Ball had an E-Type Jag. I remember it well.
