Everyone's a critic?
Anjishnu, Charles and Conor (apologies to any I've missed out) have all put their head upon the block of reporting / previewing and there been plenty of volunteers to take a swing with the axe.
So how about 'You' having a go?
I'll start you off with some basics;
Sat. 22nd Feb, Everton Vs Manchester United KO 12.30 UK time. (As far as I know neither team has any mid week commitments.)
Anyway, have a little ponder about it, get your opinions and (perish the thought) facts in order and maybe get them on here from say, Thursday your time - or earlier, in your own time, it's not a race
Dead easy this writing thing, 100 or so words already.
So have at it, be bland and vanilla...'The fact Mam, just the facts'.
Be entertainingly informative or as opinionated as you wish (within site rules obviously) - or not.
Hark back to past games, quote stats or just go with the vibe of the thing dude. Whatever you feel makes a good preview.
How hard can it be?
Who will judge? Buggered if I know, I'm a big picture type not a details guy. Does it even need to be judged?

All the write ups of the game itself yesterday were very good with Conor doing a rush but very capable job and getting the ball rolling.
I think the oversea readers and fans unable to get to the game for one reason or another look forward or even rely on these pre match and actual game reports but its nice for most of to see any information about the Blues.

If your fragile little arses can't cope then piss off to another site alternatively stop expecting to be spoon fed and write your own stuff.
I hoped the lunatic antagonists from the old site would follow LL but I see some of the desperados are flitting between both sites.
Piss or get off the pot.

Its like your local pub being taken over and then having to serve drinks yourself as theres never anyone at the bar (and when there is, they get it wrong).

If your local pub is on the verge of closing down... surely you're going to step up and try to save it?

I'd prefer it cheaper.
Attentive... naw. Rude and funny as fuck...
I've just described Michael Kenrick.... No?
13 Posted 16/02/2025 at 21:20:14
I dont mind serving myself sometimes Scott, just as long as our Michael has got himself a pay rise mate🤞

As already mentioned on here, it's easy to criticise, but change takes a level of adjustment. I still think they should be given time to keep the good things, which they done with Michael back and maybe add new ideas. Time will tell.
There are plenty on here who can contribute.

The soul of ToffeeWeb was informal, relaxed. It wasn't held on the leash like an official site.
This meant it was always a place for the everyday fan to ponder, ponder the next game, the last game, read about petty concerns and updates on injuries.
Read basic fan articles that could be from the sublime to the ridiculous about everything Everton and be able to throw your own stone in the pond in the comments.
Read educated informed articles from subject experts in finance etc who still had a dog in the race.
I have no doubt the new team have what it takes to run an efficient site. But do they know what we want to read???
Do they understand the soul of ToffeeWeb.
Some one posted above about ensuring fans contributed to the site. This is probably more Important now than ever before.

I remember a few seasons back Michael K. posted he couldn't be arsed writing the preview for a particular match and asked for volunteers to do it. And of course someone did and very capably too.
There are very many capable posters on this site who could easily turn out an enjoyable match preview. Just look what Conor did even though it was very last minute.
The new guys just need to ask for volunteers and there will be no shortage.
