With a £50,000 suspended fine imposed from Season 1998-99, and a further £75,000 hanging over them this season, the woeful disciplinary record for Everton's First Team players was actually improving... until much despised referee Andy D'Urso struck at Leeds.

Richard Dunne's red card at Leeds United earned a surprising 5-match ban:
It appears that the Rotherham incident was counted as a previous red card, or carried an additional suspended sentence of a further one-match ban. Dunne was also sent off when playing for the Republic of Ireland, but this should not have been counted in his club-level punishment.
