ESA Forum — Investment in Everton

All Everton Shareholders are invited to a Shareholders Association Forum to be held at Goodison Park on Monday 9 February starting at 7pm.
The topic is “Investment in Everton” — an attempt to discuss the possible methods by which Everton’s finances could be improved. The intention is to hold an interactive forum to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of various potential methods of improving Everton FC’s financial situation. The agenda for the evening includes the following 2 guest speakers;
7:00 Welcome 7:05 Presentation from Joe Beardwood Joe is Managing Partner of Sheridan Binnie – a Consultancy that has worked with a number of professional football and rugby clubs on in organisation change and development. This presentation analyses Everton FC objectively (using hard data) in a number of key areas, and benchmarks us against other Premiership teams. The assessment raises a number of challenging issues and suggests a future strategy for the club which would mean a great deal of change from where we are now!” 7:50 Presentation from Sean Hamill Sean is the secretary of the Celtic Trust (a Celtic FC Supporters Trust). He is also a lecturer in the Department of Management at Birkbeck College, University of London. A Celtic shareholder, he has written and edited a number of books and publications on the subject of the governance and business management of football clubs. Sean will explain what has happened at Celtic over the last decade and will outline the aims of the Celtic Trust, which was set up in 2000, and summarise the progress it has made. 8:35 Presentation from Steve Allinson Steve Allinson is the vice-Chairman of the Shareholders Association and has advocated a Rights Issue for Everton FC, which has recently been covered within the local and national press. Steve will explain further detail concerning the Rights Issue — how it might work and how it could affect supporters and shareholders of Everton FC. 9:15 General Discussion and Questions 9:30 Close

This invitation is open to all members of the Everton FC Shareholders Association and is also being extended to all other Shareholders in the club.
Can I also please remind you to book your tickets for the Association Dinner on 28 February 2004. Tickets are going fast and unfortunately our numbers are limited.
Everton FC have confirmed that each attendee will be presented with a commemorative gift to celebrate the club's 125th year. The Association will also be presenting a gift to each member attending the dinner.
Brian Viner and Barry Horne will be the guest speakers and Mike Tatarsky, a sports impressionist will compere the evening.
