Diniyar Bilyaletdinov's switch from Everton to Spartak Moscow is expected to be confirmed today. The midfielder tweeted his farewells to his Evertonian followers late last night suggesting that he successfully came through a medical and agreed personal terms.

Everton confirmed yesterday that an undisclosed fee, believed to be between £4m and £5m, had been agreed with Spartak Moscow paving the way for the 26 year-old to return to his homeland.

The Russian international tweeted his farewell to Everton late on Wednesday night after two and a half years at Goodison Park.

Time to say goodbye! Thanks to everyone who supported me these 2,5 years! I had great time in Everton!!

He expressed some of his frustrations in comments to the Moscow press, however, encapsulating the thoughts of many Evertonians with his summation of the Blues' attacking shortcomings:

?Naturally, [open football] attracts me. This is exactly what Everton have been missing lately. The team has problems with creating scoring chances, and converting them.

?But on the whole I am satisfied with the English stage of my career. I got invaluable experience from playing in the Premier League.

?And off the pitch, there were positives: during this time I learnt the language, got married, met many interesting people.?

Bilyaletdinov's father was critical of Moyes' tactics too: ?If he [Moyes] had got more out of his defensive players, then his creative players wouldn't have dropped off so much in recent years.?
