Jagielka is up for Brazil test

Phil Jagielka is calling for England to repeat their heroics against Spain when Brazil head to Wembley for Wednesday's glamour friendly.

Jagielka said: "This is a high stakes game. That Spain game wasn't make or break but because we won and kept a clean sheet it turned into a massive positive.

"It is a similar situation now. Whether I get to play, or someone else, it is about gaining experience from a great test."

I am sorry Jags, but Everton have a more important match against Man Utd next Sunday. Lose that, Spuds win, and a 6 point gap opens up. And when players come back from friendly international matches from places as far away as the Caspian Sea or from Central America, USA and other places like that, what state of mind and fitness are they in when they drive into Finch Farm on a Friday morning? A small squad like Everton cannot afford to have many players off-form or injured because of international matches, that don't serve Everton's cause by getting a CL place this season.

Goddamit Kenwright! When will he stop arranging international fixtures in the middle of the Premier League season? No doubt he's also arranged for Osman, Jags and Baines to all recieve leg-breaking challenges during the game just to screw up Everton's season.

Not that those players are any good anyway. They're rubbish. Not fit to wear the shirt.

Moyes Out
Kenwright Out
Goodison Out

Ain't that right Steavey?

Phil, that's a bit rough blaming BK for mid-week international friendlies. It's obviously Hibbo's fault.

I thought it was Howard's fault to be honest.

Every time Everton play match after an international match, Everton drop points. Players are either listless or carrying injuries not treated properly due to traveling even as far as outer Mongolia or further. The only ones who care about club's players are the fans. It's only the top clubs with bags of money who can cover the loss of players on international duty. Everton had 7 players away last in the last useless international matches and lost 1:2 to Reading.Their 2 goals came in the second half when players looked jet lagged and ran out of steam.

Hahaha Liverpool fans never cease to amaze me just how delusional they are. Some Liverpool fan just came on talkshite saying they are definitely gonna challenge for the league next season and finish 2nd. What planet are they on? Gerrard will be a year older as will Carragher, Suarez will not hang around without CL football and Reina will be on his bike. Most of Rodgers signings have been shite and his half decent players he’s trying to get rid of.

Gerrard was in the ECHO saying 4th place is still on because they had a good game against City. The last time he said that they got hammered by Villa the next game. They are far too inconsistent. Too many average players and the 1 or 2 good players cannot maintain the high standards every game.

Anyway lets hope Gerrad gets fucked for England they will be finished once and for all.

Ian didn't you know that they have a divine right to do what they want, when they want, as far as they are concerned, Everton are just here for their amusement. That's why so many of us long in the tooth Blues, get a bit feisty when DM and or the team never seem to rub their noses in it when the opportunity arises. I did have a dream that we would be going to their place in May, having returned with the FA Cup the previous weekend and qualification for CL already in the bag, I really must stop eating those white mushrooms with the red polka dot effect.

Well, Baines had a decent 45 minutes but Ossie didn't exactly cover himself in glory, did he? Mind you, he did nothing wrong. Jags must have been sitting there watching Cahill play like a dummy, thinking; "That's my place guaranteed for the next match, then". Good game, though, good game. COYW!
