Everton U21s fought back from 2-0 down to deny Sunderland U21s this evening in the northeast.

The Blues' second string were trailing 2-0 before Conor McAleny, now top scorer for Alan Stubb's side this season, pulled a goal back midway through the second half.

And a 30-yard stunner by Francisco Junior salvaged a 2-2 draw for the Blues with 10 minutes left. Everton U21s: Springthorpe; Stones, Garbutt, Molyneux (56' Long), Browning; Pennington, Kennedy, Grant; Hope, McAleny, Junior. Subs not Used: Griffiths, Touray, Green, Jones.

They were missing Duffy, Vellios, Barkley as they will be in the squad for the FA Cup.
Junior seems to be doing pretty well from what I read in the recent match reports.

Strange that green is on the bench for the u21 but does not seem to get in the first XI for the u18 team?

Hope junior has a good run. Would love to see the likes of him, Barkley and mcaleny get some game time for the first team.
