Everton Academy graduate Hallam Hope has committed his future to the Blues with the signature of a new two-year extension to his contract which will now expire in the summer of 2015.

The 19 year-old has already notched a couple of goals this season for the Under-21s, the more recent strike coming this week in the 1-1 draw at Newcastle and he told evertontv that he is "delighted" to sort everything out with regard to his contract.

Hope, who originally joined Everton eight years ago from Manchester City's youth setup, expressed particular gratitude to U21s manager, Alan Stubbs, who has handed him starts in all of the second string's games so far this season.

“He has helped me a lot,” Hope said. “I've learnt more in the last two seasons than I have ever learnt before. He is a good coach and we have all got a good relationship with him in the team.

“He's done lots of one-to-one training with me on the pitch and in the video room he has looked at areas of my game where I could do better. From when I was younger, I have definitely started to look at the game in different ways."
