Jordan Thorniley scored the only goal 15 minutes in and the Blues dominated to record a third successive victory. It was also the young Toffees' first clean sheet of the campaign. Thorniley's strike arrived via a George Green set piece and was powerfully volleyed home. Everton didn't rest on their laurels and continued to probe with a number of chances following. It was more of the same after the break and both Duffus brothers could have added to the lead. First Tyrone's volley was well saved before Courtney sent an effort narrowly wide.
