The Liverpool Echo have lent credence to an earlier report in The Mirror that the defender's waiting for approval to play in England is over and the player himself has now told Argentine sports media that the deal is done. Everton have had the deal with River Plate as well as terms with the player done and dusted for a while now and were confident that he would qualify under the new employment rules despite having only played once for his country. All the pictures and interviews were done days ago when he signed his deal over the weekend, we've just been waiting for international clearance.But for me, we've waited to announce this deal on deadline day so it looks like we're really busy when we sign him, probably Lennon and one more player?!
