Firefighter Sam offers Everton fans too little spark

Everton's football has remained lumpen since it became clear they were free of relegation danger and supporters are hardly being unreasonable wanting more.

Daniel Taylor seems to 'get it' where so many other media pundits who are looking at his results just don't.

I think this Guardian-Observer article written by Daniel Taylor should be read in its entirety.

It adds further weight to what both KT (#116) and SB (#119) have offered and goes a long way to illustrate what many of us feel regarding Allardyce.

I can't wait to see supporters' reactions during the Southampton game. It will tell a lot about where Allardyce stands for next season.

Thanks for these facts
Everton, on other hand, went into the weekend 19th out of the 20 clubs in the Premier League when it comes to the number of shots they have managed on Allardyce’s watch, 19th in terms of efforts on target, 19th in chances created and 19th for attempted dribbles. Again, Allardyce can point out that the only statistics that should matter are the points that have taken the team into the top half of the table. Plainly, however, it does matter to many Everton followers. The supporters want more. Is that so unreasonable? To justify this Sam points to Simeone & says he’s called the master of defence. I’m called defensive and negative. We’ve not only achieved the goal [of staying up], we’ve played some extremely entertaining games.
On Monday night we beat "bar codes" 1-0 with only ONE shot @ home.
Simeone's team on Thursday the same week drew 1-1 in a european semi final had FOUR shots, scored one goal with 10 men away from home. Sam your called defensive & negative because that's what you are & the facts prove it.

Iain I agree I think TW should post this as an Article as judging by the number of comments few are reading it tucked away in the news. Taylor has previous with Allardyce from his WHU days "Ravell Morrison unravelling makes interesting reading.
