Must be doing something right, if BT and Sky want to show us so much.

Mike Gaynes, I hope that doesn't disrupt your plans too much, I remember us talking about it a while back, we were all hoping to meet up before and after the game on the 1st.

Keep us all up to speed on any new enforced arrangements, which hopefully isn't too much of a bummer for you.

Just looking at the fixtures over the Christmas period and we play 4 games every 3 days as follows:

23rd
26th
29th
1st

Meanwhile, the shite play as follows:
21st
26th
29th
3rd

So, they get two five day breaks. How is that in any way fair and equitable?

David 8, BT haven't picked any of our games for live viewing on their picks up to end of January.

Derek, no, in fact I'm delighted. It means Peter Mills and I can go watch our Marine AFC boys on Saturday afternoon in Crosby!!!

I allowed for this possibility with a Tuesday flight home, so I'll still have plenty of time for all of us to meet up. Friday or Saturday evening for sure.

Rob #9, I fly out of Heathrow on Tuesday morning, so it's all good!

Can't wait to see you, mate. Heard from Keith recently?

Peter Mills

Mike, I hope we can work with that? I'm okay to get you to Manchester airport straight after the match, probably get you there for 8:00pm-ish.

Mike, all the time mate. If possible, can you e mail when you are due to arrive in Liverpool, and also, if possible, keep the Friday free.

Rob, we have Mike occupied until the Friday afternoon, a get-together after that sounds good, perhaps in the Midland Hotel opposite Central Station for convenience?

Will keep in touch.

Kick-off times never bothered me until I finally got a season ticket. Now I much prefer Saturday games to start the weekend! Sunday 4pm games leave me no time to recover!

BBC Sport shows a table of the number of hours from the first match to the last over the festive period. It'll come as no surprise to find out Everton have the least time at 212 & those luvable reds have the most at 312. Even the BBC title the table "Level playing field?"!

Neil, everybody's welcome who's damn fool enough to want to meet me!

Except maybe for a few of the TW trolls. They know who they are.

Apologies, guys, posted incorrect info – I'm flying home Monday AM, not Tuesday. So I'll have to scoot right after the final whistle.

Mike (#24), I suspect that the "trolls" you allude to are unaware of their status. Ignorance is a core characteristic of trolls in my experience.

Whatever, enjoy your trip ....... unless I'm a troll too!

Scheduling is not great, but there's 3 home games in that run and that's why we need a squad so we shouldn't moan.

I always find Everton perform better when up against it anyway; because, if we had the lightest schedule, you can be sure we'd screw up that advantage royally.

That's a good pub, Peter, very central for everyone and I'm sure a few people will turn up for Mike G.

Chris@12, all's that smiling/“crying cunt Klopp”, has done since he arrived in England is go on about the congested Christmas program.

The more you accept things, the less they look after you, seems to be the rule, and although it's not our style, maybe we should turn into crying bastards ourselves sometimes?

Talking of moaners, I haven't read anything off Darren H, for a while? If you're still reading, Darren, I hope everything's alright mate, and I look forward to seeing you at Mike's party!

That was a good day, Mike.

Didn't we win every game when you were over last time?

Same again this time please!

Mike Gaynes -

Scoot right after the derby? Are you mad?

No, no, no.

After the derby go out, drink excessively, stay out late, and make the most of every single second over there.

Wake up, hung to the gills, get on the plane, and have about 11 or so hours in the air to sleep it off.

Leave right away after the game?! Dude, you're a cancer survivor. Live hard brother!

;0) Have fun. Love ya.

It seems this rejig of the games puts more stress on our squad more than the rest of the Premier League, in terms of minimum time to play these games, and the RS, somehow, get the best time out of all the Premier League to play their Chrimbo and New Year fixtures.

I hope we get the fight and win all our games in good style. Who cares about the RS, but Sky and BT etc talks and this is the unfair scenario. Hopefully we get damage money..

Mockery compared to the old days, in bygone times, but the current times, it shows that this team more than most needs some true grit and fighting spirit. Let's hope the Leicester spirit is the spark for this season.

Jamie (#35), I enjoy your posts and general outlook on life. But there haven't been many times over the past 50-odd years of Anfield derbies when I have felt like doing what you advise.

If Gaynes maintains his 100% win record whilst attending Everton games, he will not be going out anywhere. He will not be going home. He will be gently introduced to the gimp basement at my house, to be allowed day release very strategically.

Peter -

You're a pro. I'm an amateur. I humbly bow to your suggestion and approach.

Gaynes will keep his 100% win record. I've a feeling.

Warm up that good-luck gimp basement and get 'er ready!

Mike - you're not going home buddy. Plan accordingly.

No problem, Peter and Jamie. I'd become a citizen, only your politics are just as insane as ours.

Jamie, on my one-Guinness limit, this IS living hard by my pathetic standards. But as for savoring every minute, I've got that part down pat.

Nonetheless, I have the same feeling about this game that you guys do.

1-2 the final. Save this post.

Don't be telling us scousers you only drink one Guinness, Mike, or you will end up in the Guinness Book Of Records, for being the only fella that turns up for his own party!

Mike has a fairly busy schedule when he is over here. As the venue worked well for John McFarlane's birthday bash, I am proposing to take Mike to the Midland Hotel (on the corner of Ranelagh Street and Cases Street, opposite Central Station) between 5:00 and 7:00pm on Friday 30 November.

Many people sent Mike their good wishes with posts on here before and after his previous visit. For anyone wanting to do so this time in person, this is your chance. All are welcome.

I'll post a reminder on here in November.

Peter (43), I've just seen this thread and I'd love to go to "Mike's Party". The venue is pretty central for most people who want to go.

Mike, one Guinness will be enough for you, mate, you can get absolutely bladdered on the 2-1 victory – that will be the equal of 10 pints to me!

I look forward to meeting you. Sorry our Tony can't go... he washes his hair on a Friday night!!!!

Sorry to hear about Tony, but I'm the last person to be able to comment on hair washing!
