Jagielka makes Blades return

Good move for Jags, a great move in fact to go back to where it started and for this reason it would be great if Kieran Dowell went there again on loan, even better now Sheffield Utd are a top flight side, give us a good look at how he'd cope.

Good luck to him he's got a couple of years left in him, glad he is getting another Premier League club too I'm sure he will still do a job like the end of last seasons when he got his swan song at Goodison. I'm also glad we are not just paying him to sit in the bench we have done that far too much in the past. Brands has got a big job lowering the wage bill this summer, Jagielka and Williams leaving will certainly help. But a lot more to go.

Yes, I wish Jags all the best, I wonder if he will be a regular for them, or mainly a back-up, they possibly have plans for him to eventually get on the coaching staff.

Be interesting too if Dowell goes back with him, although I have heard that Huddersfield are trying to get him for a year's loan. I think this could be Kieran's make or break year, to make an impression, it would be better to see him tried for a year in the Premier League rather than a team seeking promotion from the Championship.

He will Jack at some point. I'd like to see Arteta, Cahil, Pienaar Distin all be involved maybe. Maybe next year. Big year for Dowell, he has to show what he is now. Davies too of course. Beningime... too many kids treading water.

Fantastic for Jags, truly made up for him, the man is a living legend for the blues, he's epitomizes everything that being a blue is.

It's not his fault he went trophyless, that's down to the era he's been a blue in, we simply aren't a massive club know more.

Relieved to see this. I remember when we released Hibbert and Osman last minute, they were in the news for a bit being linked with this club and that, Osman saying his agent was handling negitiations etc. It dragged on and on, and eventually (barring Hibbert's brief non league stint) I guess they accepted retirement.

The first game of last seasons Jags looked in really great shape, obviously he had put the work in over the summer knowing he had a fight on his hands to stay in the team. Then he had that dodgy red card, a succession of ill timed niggling injuries and even Arsenal goal apart it looked as if the writing was on the wall. I think he can make a difference for Utd bringing some experience at the back.

Define "bigger." I prefer the term "wealthier" I can't accept that say Blackburn were a "bigger" club when they won the league in 95. By the same token, Chelsea and City are having success now, but so did Huddersfield and Preston once upon a time.
