As I mentioned on another thread I went down to Barrow to watch this game of men against boys. Quite a number of Blues in the crowd. I've asked the club why there was no pre-match publicity on the club website.
Our no.2, whoever he was, stood out for his pace.

Allen#1, that would have been Roman Dixon, a pretty rapid right back who's featured for the u21s and looks very promising.

Allen, additionally, tucked away in a match report is this information about a match tonight, we really are hopeless at publicising these matches :
“ attentions now turn to Dinamo Zagreb in the Premier League International Cup at Walton Hall Park on Wednesday (7pm GMT)“

Phil, not as hopeless as Barrow who gave free entry to all up to a capacity of 1,000. Such was the demand from local fans they had had to open another section of the ground after making said fans stand outside for 20 minutes or more. The excuse being they were short of stewards. If they'd charged £1 or £2 admission it would have paid a few bills. Bizarre isn't the word.
