Season › 2023-24 › General Forum Merry Christmas! By Christine Foster 24/12/2023 Share: One of the joys of Christmas is that being in New Zealand or Australia, we get Christmas before anyone else does! So as I sit here on a quiet Christmas morning, my thoughts go out to my extended family here on ToffeeWeb to wish you all a wonderful and merry Christmas! As a reflection of an Evertonian's life, ToffeeWeb can bring you laughter, frustration common sense or just friendship. Whatever it does, I am glad it's here, so big Thank you to Michael and Lyndon because without you guys life would not be the bowl of cherries! To the contributors and readers, wow, the wit, knowledge and nostalgia make this site the best fan site there is, don't stop, you're just bloody brilliant! Finally, this has been a tumultuous year, fraught with debate, controversy and the end of an era. Yet through it all, for the first time in all the years I can remember, we are one. Unified against anything and anyone, long may it continue. Thank you all, especially those I have never (yet) met, I look forward to raising a glass or two in celebration of being a blue when we get into the new Everton Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock. You make me a very proud blue. So no matter where you are this morning, Merry Christmas to the best supporters in the land, to the boys in blue, to every unsung match day hero and to all of us in some far-flung country whose heart is back in Liverpool, whose passion is forever blue. Thank you all, a very Merry Christmas to you and yours. Reader Comments (14) Note: the following content is not moderated or vetted by the site owners at the time of submission. Because if I catch up with you all before hand I will never remember going to the game! Seriously though, thank you, all of you, your thoughts and expectations, hopes and frustrations mirror my own and make such thought provoking comments, your love of Everton is just brilliant. Christmas may have gone, but here's to a beautiful "Happy Blue Year!" Oliver Molloy 10 Posted 27/12/2023 at 18:52:44 Also late with this but better late than never - right ! Always read what you are thinking on here...Hope you are well like all Evertonians everywhere.Best to you and yours down the road..UTFT. Tony Abrahams 11 Posted 27/12/2023 at 18:57:54 I have been by the two grounds today Christine, and as much as I have always loved Goodison, and I am hoping for another special game under the lights tonight, the stadium at Bramley Moore, is now beginning to look absolutely brilliant. My son has chose to go for a pint with his mates, on his last night at home before returning to Dubia tomorrow, rather than going to the game, so when I was dropping him in town, I made sure I drove over the little brow on Boundary St, and he couldn't believe how good it was starting to look, so hopefully you will be getting home to see Everton playing in a stadium that is fit for kings🤞 Gerry Quinn 12 Posted 27/12/2023 at 18:58:33 Hope you had a lovely Christmas, Christine - and ALL Evertonians worldwide - always appreciate your input into ToffeeWeb and especially the Live Forum - also have a great New Year...
