Everton are increasingly using the eGaming industry to build brand awareness and develop stronger connections with new international audiences.

The club has been keen to capitalise on the global gaming boom – a point evidenced by their sponsorship link-up with a firm which operates in the same sector as casino5gringos.com.

Everton’s foray into eGaming dates back several years, with the launch of the inaugural ePremier League (ePL) tournament in 2019 one of their highest profile endeavours.

They have continued to participate in the ePL since then, although they have found success hard to come by in the face of some stiff competition.

Despite this, the club remains committed to forging links with an industry which potentially opens the door to millions of fans worldwide.

A short-term sponsorship deal with global video game brand MY.GAMES in 2021 was one of several recent examples of Everton’s desire to tap into the eGaming sector.

The agreement saw MY.GAMES become Everton’s official mobile gaming partner and gave them the chance to connect with the firm’s worldwide community of 770 million registered players.

Everton continued to enhance its presence with the eGaming world the following year, signing a shirt sleeve partnership agreement with community-driven online streaming platform, KICK.

The firm’s logo appeared on the men’s team’s shirt sleeves for the first time for their pre-season friendly against Portuguese giants Sporting CP.

Everton Under-21s and Everton Women also sported the KICK brand on their sleeves this season, further strengthening the partnership between the two organisations.

The deal saw Everton collaborate with some of the world’s most successful content creators on KICK’s platforms, opening the door to a captive 15m strong audience.

The partnership continued apace this season, with the hosting a charity football match at Goodison Park in collaboration with KICK and Everton in the Community (EitC) and KICK.

The #GoodisonKickabout brought together some of the biggest names in streaming and content creation in the United Kingdom, alongside a few special guests.

These included popular streamers Angry Ginge, Pieface and Danny Aarons. Local celebrity Ryan Hall, also known as Still Ryan, and UFC fighter Molly ‘Meatball’ McCann also took part.

Young darts sensation Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler was also in attendance, putting aside his allegiance to Manchester United to support this innovative event.

The match was streamed live on the official Everton KICK channel for fans across the world to watch, and was designed to support several important EitC initiatives.

All the funds raised will be ploughed into to areas such as mental health, disability sports, youth development, and employment and education programmes.

The event cemented Everton’s growing relationship with the eGaming sector and highlighted the ongoing shift in the way football clubs are working to connect with new audiences.
