Everton Under-21s midfielder Owen Barker is the next to sign his first professional contract with the club, a 2-year deal that runs through the end of June 2025.

Born in Bolton, the 18-year-old joined Everton's Academy at the age of 10, Barker has demonstrated an ability to play anywhere across the front line while also being a well-rounded midfielder. Last season he made 10 appearances for Leighton Baines’s Under-18s, scoring four goals and making four assists.    

He also made the step up to Paul Tait’s Under-21s with 9 appearances. including minutes in each of their final three games of the campaign.    

“I want to keep enjoying my football and keep impressing,” Barker says. “But I also want to add more goals and assists to my game, while potentially getting to train with the Senior Team a few times.
