Earlier this month, Josimar Football reported at length on 777 Partners and their murky association with a range of court cases in the US.

The revelations came after it was being reported back in April that 777 Partners were interested in a £600M takeover of Everton Football Club.

Key personnel in the US-based company, who already holds stakes in multiple clubs such as Sevilla, Hertha Berlin, Genoa and Red Star FC, have been implicated in severe allegations, including fraud, kidnapping, extortion, predatory lending and racketeering.

It’s been suggested that insiders at Goodison Park are heaving sighs of relief, firmly believing that Everton have ‘dodged a bullet’ with the fallout of the 777 deal. Despite a majority of Everton fans initially favouring a full takeover to remove Moshiri, the club’s leadership recognises the paramount need to find reputable owners to guide the club into the future.

Apparently we've avoided the 777 group and a £600M buyout, which is good news according to the source below.

Everton have ‘dodged a bullet' by rejecting £600m offer

Accusations of kidnapping, extortion and other nefarious activities are engulfing them which puzzles me as surely that's just par for the course.

It definitely seems very similar at Everton now to when Agent Johnson suddenly ran out of money, although I live in hope that the new ground will leave us with a chance of attracting better owners than when he eventually sold our club.

It's very depressing because nothing seems to be happening, and although this is quite predictable, no club will constantly stay in the Premier League without being prepared.

If Moshiri has taken out a bridging loan and Everton don't receive investment soon, then hopefully he will have to sell the club? I know everything is pure speculation but does anyone have any idea what seems to be delaying things with regards investment right now?

Barry

777 certainly would have meshed with Usmanov and his cronies. Unfortunately, despite all the embezzlement and kidnapping ransoms they apparently have no money. Which again fits with us but I was kind of hoping we might get some backing from somebody with at least a few quid.

Tony,

The MSP thing is going on for a long time now. Kind of like last year with Kenyon's group and their period of exclusivity. Esk announced quite some time back that Moshiri was ceding control, since when many "in the new few days" type updates have come and gone. A bit like the Fortress Sports Fund saga also.

I thought the Fortress Sports Fund money was an absolute bluff, from the minute I watched Bill Kenwright introduce Chris Samuelson onto the stage, mate.

Downing and Bell sounded like they were coming on board but suddenly everything has gone very quiet, even though the Esk said last week that the holdup was coming from the Premier League and that this has now been resolved.

Other than coming on ToffeeWeb to moan about Kenwright, I have hardly spoken to anyone about Everton lately, but when it sounded like the MSP deal was very close, a couple of concerning or just a load of shite – and to be expected – WatsApp messages started flying around. They were concerning for me because I wouldn't put anything past Bill Kenwright, and rumours started spreading that he was putting a spanner in the works.

A friend of mine said that he had heard that these rumours weren't far wrong as everyone waits very patiently with our patience wearing thinner by the day, hour, minute, second.

Tony,

It was re-emphasised by Paul Joyce, somewhere today, that the MSP 'investment' would not help in Everton's quest to buy new players and was purely and simply to help keep the stadium build on track.

Therefore, it would be a bit silly if the 'new' appointments to the board - should they ever be appointed – would sit and take the flak for something they have no control over. I can't see why any new chairman would want to take responsibility for anything involving the playing side for at least another 6 months, if not a full year.

You are right about the feeling surrounding the club at the minute, it is very much similar to the dog days of the Johnson era and it is in need of somebody taking full control of the situation, and unfortunately the owner and the current chairman seem ill-equipped for the job, after all both have had a major hand in helping put the club in such dire straits.

It's a very salient point that nobody would want to take responsibility for the playing side of the club, Barry, but because nobody is prepared to speak up and take any responsibility whatsoever right now, then this is why many people are beginning to fear the worst, imo mate.

I had already begun to fear the worst a couple of months ago, if I'm being honest, and although I usually try to remain positive, and also believe that negative emotions achieve nothing, I just can't help feeling that with Kenwright still being at the club, then he has a watertight deal in place to remain, and I believe nothing good will happen to our club whilst he does remain.

Why does he even still want to be a part of our club now he has been found out by the majority?

Where's the Arteta money?

The Mozart of money, was obviously a great teacher for Bill Kenwright, Colin. How much did Arteta go for? I bet you it wasn't as much as the year Everton's operating costs went up by £24 million?

It's all old news, but it's such a very depressing situation for Evertonians, right now. I've heard there is at least one consortium who have been trying to buy Everton, lock-stock & barrel, and I believe that Moshiri is taking a massive gamble with regards him making some money once the stadium is finished, because without some investment in the playing squad, then there is a good chance Everton could be relegated, imo.

I hate negative thoughts - but looking at things logically, what is there to be positive about right now? Maybe hearing Bramley-Moore, is going to be very intimate, sounds exciting.

My big worry is the continuation of the Moshiri era resultant of an unrealistic asking price for the club.

If this piece has any credence it appears the market value is circa £600m which won't cover his costs leaving him here for the foreseeable. Too terrifying to contemplate as everything he touches turns to shit, the man is the polar opposite of the Midas Touch

Tony Abrahams

The continuation of the Moshiri era, still being led by Bill Kenwright, is an even bigger worry for me, Barry.

Hold your nerve, Farhad, I've had to do it a few times mate. I'm not asking you to trust me (haha) but it must be obvious that I know my way around a pound note, and I'm also clever and very, very manipulating, so you know it makes sense, mate.

He finally messed up though, Mr Moshiri, because a lot of Evertonians, who didn't want to admit they had been kidded by Mr Kenwright were waiting for him to tell one more big whopper of a lie, so if you do trust William, then make sure you keep your investment in the Premier League; otherwise, you'll lose a hell of a lot more money!

If this happens, then I believe that things will get messy and Everton won't end up even owning their own ground, or maybe this was part of the plan from the beginning?

Bill Kenwright was Moshiri's pick, and this is something that I believe everyone should just remember because, whilst these two remain, I don't think Everton will ever be a united football club.

I've said it before, and I'll probably need to say it again several times, this whole matter stinks. We are being run abysmally by Moshiri ans his pal Kenwright. I'm afraid you can't believe anything that they say, that is if they say anything publicly. 777 were never believable and to my mind MSP aren't much better as things are turning out..

When is Mr Moshiri going to get some balls and admit, even if it is only to himself, that he has made a complete horlicks of his investment by trusting Billy Liar and in doing so it is going to cost him money. Give up now and cut your losses and find a new owner to sell to. Someone who know something about football who won't line his own pockets and see us through this mess Kenwright has presided over..

This isn't much to ask if his initial promises are to be kept. Okay he sees the completion of the new stadium as his final opportunity to recoup some cash, all of which are currently in doubt the way the club is being run. The solution is for the club to being run professionally and maintaining our Premier League status. Hopefully that might work.

Decision time Mr Moshire. I am not hopeful though.

I'm astounded that the club could find anyone involved in more murkier deals than Usmanov. We must have a real talent for something I suppose!

We must hope MSP are reputable. Clubs in a desperate financial plight tend to attract disreputable bidders.

Tony @11

There can't be many left who haven't already sussed Bull**** Bill out yet. I feel sorry for those that haven't because when they eventually do they will hang their collective heads in shame and wonder how they can have been so gullible for so long. To an extent we have all been conned by that man. He has been so good at it for a long time now.

Your warning to them is very apt and timely though.

Paul the Esk now saying 777 are back to the front of the 2 groups and have offered more money but not just to invest but to buy the club.

I sincerely hope they fail as its been stated they haven't got the funds needed and are desperately trying to find the money from different sources.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, he said: "So it has gone very quiet from MSP and I'm told that Josh Wander, a managing partner of 777, was bragging last week to colleagues that he's about to write a cheque for around £250m to take control of Everton.

"I'm also told by various people that 777 are struggling financially with various investments that they are involved in. So whether they would have the capacity to pull that off, I don't know.

"But I do know that there are people connected with Everton who now think they are favourites to either buy into or invest in the club."
