Approximately 50 Everton fans conducted a protest outside the Premier League’s London headquarters on Friday evening, expressing dissatisfaction with the club’s 10-point deduction.

During the peaceful protest, Everton supporters chanted and displayed a banner asserting the Premier League’s alleged corruption. The demonstration was orderly and supervised by the police.

The message was repeated on Saturday morning when, as publicised, a plane bearing the message "Premier League = Corrupt #UTFT #EFC" was flown over the Etihad Stadium in the second half of the televised Manchester City vs Liverpool match.

Did anyone see the plane flying over Man City’s ground?

Where’s da Plane?

I’m only watching this shite to see our protest banner…

If Sky are prepared to dumb down and/or replace the crowd noise for tomorrow's game they're not likely to show our airborn banner.

This despite the fact they've shown previous airborn ones, if my memory serves me correctly.

They'll be under strict instructions what to show and what not to show, the spineless, sycophantic twats.

I thought a 'plane was a bad idea as it's high enough for the cameras to ignore that's why I suggested a helicopter.
Brian Williams
5 Posted 25/11/2023 at 12:56:50
Chopper or plane, would be flown at the same height as the minimum is 1000ft whether fixed wing or rotary I believe.

Where do you think helicopters fly, Eric?

Well done and thank you Blues. A valid message for sure. I hope it hits home. The disgraceful 10 point penalty levied on the Club is an embarrassment to them, not us.
Tomorrow will ram home that message further. Here's hoping its an impressive showing both on and off the pitch. I believe it will be. UTFT.

Eric,

Do you seriously think anyone can just fly a chopper, willy-nilly, into the Etihad while a game is going on?

Oh, as long as it's in the Flight Plan, then it's okay? Right…

If the banner was about any of the Sky 6 clubs, their cameras would have zoomed on it several times by now.

Didn’t know “Maybe the plane hasn’t flown over yet”, was offensive enough to be removed…

Anyway, ours was probably scuppered:

Mirror confirms:

Everton [fans] have protested against the Premier League's decision to hand them a 10-point deduction by flying a banner over the Etihad Stadium during Manchester City vs Liverpool.

The plane went over the stadium in the second half, with a banner reading: "Premier League = Corrupt. #UTFT #EFC". Sky Sports did not show the plane on their coverage.

While aggravating overall there are some implicit good signs. The Yank USA USA coverage omitted Everton's trouble.

They will have to review the topic tomorrow but the fact they chose not to announce it signals a weak hand to me. I suspect they are a bit nervous about their stance at this point.

Flying that banner was a seriously dumb idea, we have had very good support from all sides in regards of the 10-point deduction.

Calling them corrupt isn't going to do us any favours, it's only likely to get their backs up.

Good on The 1878 Originals and everyone who has contributed to the plane, banners and placards. It'd only be seriously dumb to treat the Premier League with respect. They've shown us none.

No club should be walking on eggshells to appease a malevolent administration. That gets you nowhere as shown to date. This is the supporters' stance, the club officials can doff their caps if they prefer.

If we believe the narrative that the Commission was being steered by the Premier League, and given that an appeal has yet to be heard, by a second group that will (if the above narrative is correct) also be steered by the Premier League, then prodding the bear in advance of the appeal is not going to do us any favours.

And if human nature kicks in, then the appeal body (for which read Premier League in this narrative) is going to be even more biased against us.

The Premier League have proven over decades they have no understanding of the spirit of the game, fairness or consistency, and have set a precedent with the unjust punishment they rigged up to be served and administered to Everton FC. They set a new benchmark in cowardice and manipulation of rules. They don't know the meaning of integrity.

They don't realise what they have unleashed and have sealed their own fate, the football world knows that they have no wriggle room.

Evertonians will fight the just cause until justice is upheld for Everton, and their campaign to send Everton into the abyss has failed.

Get a new board and Chairman in place ASAP, be a club united and solid, and rinse and squeeze these corrupt bunch of frauds and take them to the cleaners.

Get a government regulator in place, hopefully with people with integrity to prevent this most corrupt of sporting bodies being able to operate again.

But, tbh, in the UK political scene at the moment, only a couple of politicians seem to have it.

Brown envelope, bribery and corruption bureau also to be set up to police the Premier League administration.

UTFTs!

Interesting. I would also support the understated approach except in this case I believe the Premier League is already set to give it a really, really, no really good look again and then kindly say ah there's just nothing we can do.

Whether justified by their overblown penalty or me just getting the creep vibe that is what my body is telling me. My mind is overloaded.

I agree the Premier League isn't corrupt, it is inept and incompotent at best and fudges all main issues. Whatever noise we make as fans is irrelevant to them; we can send a plane with a banner every 10 minutes, They will not care.

The breakaway league reaction showed that quite clearly. Oh dear if we lose the big clubs, will we still pull in the big bucks? Let's be nice just in case they are serious.

In their collective haste to prove they do not need independant regulation, they have proved opposite.

If you honestly think the people running the Premier League are inept, you need your head examining. Inept people do not occupy the sort of positions these greedy money-grabbing self-interested sociopaths do.

The only way you deal with these twats is to stand up to them, shame them – easier said than done given Sky et al are part of the problem – and get the public sympathy on your side.

For years under Kenwright & Co we just let them walk all over us. Tell them to fuck right off with their made-up so-called independent commission “judgements”.

The whole organisation has been overrun with money, power and hence corruption. That’s how it works.

Don't poke the bear? When it's already ripped your arm off and if it carries on with your head in its mouth, it might lead to your death, yeah that sounds like a fantastic idea to me.

Premier League may or not be corrupt, but from where I'm standing it is giving a fairly good impression of a corrupt organisation. A definition of corrupt includes: dishonestly using your position or power to get an advantage, especially for money: Not necessarily a definition that can be made directly at the Premier League, but certainly one that could be made against the clubs that make up its league, particularly those that have enjoyed oodles of success, since its inception.

Do those VAR decisions ever ever go against the neighbours, oh yeah the definitely not corrupt Premier League want to see an open race for the title and not a foregone conclusion with that 'cheating' Manchester team running away with it. Sorry despite it taking up three weeks of headlines I forgot about the Spurs game, silly me.

If not for the points deduction we could have gone into tenth with a victory tomorrow, with the points deduction we're hoping to 'climb' out of the bottom three.

Points deduction is wrong, ten points deduction is harsh and doesn't in any way, reflect the crime, don't stop complaining about it, until its overturned, screw the bear!

"Don't poke the bear? When it's already ripped your arm off and if it carries on with your head in its mouth, it might lead to your death, yeah that sounds like a fantastic idea to me."

So no point in appealing? That's smart.

Brent,

I want Evertonians to kick the bear where it hurts the most, not roll over and accept a totally ludicrous decision and put a stop to the protests, because it may make the bear more angry and therefore look upon our appeal unfavourably.

If we were a far better and stronger outfit than we currently are, I'd be minded to take the current penalty on the chin and tell the Premier League to shove the points where the sun don't shine.

Twelve wins on the spin for Everton – highly unlikely but we can dream – and we can tell them to keep those points we didn't need them.

I imagine that we'll have to wait until the next International break in March before the appeals commission sits again and issues its verdict.

“Inept people do not occupy the sort of positions these greedy money-grabbing self-interested sociopaths do.”

Actually Nick, sociopaths often are inept but it's not found out until their absolute belief in their own pre-eminence has carried them through a multitude of flawed interviews to the upper echelons, where they continue to float around wreaking unintended havoc because no-one wants to confess they should never have been appointed in the first place.

Tipping Point for Moshiri... Here's a thought for you: the 10 points goes to appeal and is not rescinded, 777 Partners half their purchase price offer. Everton face relegation by stealth, or further financial fine or points deduction.

What does Moshiri do? Run? Sell for what he could get?

Seriously, if I was in Moshiri's shoes, I would hire the best board he can find, and stay put. It might take a year or two but he would likely recoup the hundreds of millions lost when we get in the new stadium or are returned to the Premier League.

It's not stupid... I am serious. Hire the best and move out of the way.
