Anything happening at Villa Park?

Onana playing?

Well, that takes care of that. We definitely finish above Spurs.

Now if Chelsea takes care of business, we can stand over Man Utd!!!

Onana is actually playing really well for Villa. C’mon Chelsea.

Will Spurs fire the Aussie prick before or after the last game?

I'd like it to be before, more snide, and then he can feck off to some shite league like MLS and join the Miami Pensioners or the Nemzeti Bajnokság I or the Parva Liga.

Ecstatic.

I despise Cucu but for the moment he's my hero.

The Europa League final is almost certain to be a sacking for the manager who loses… or possibly even both.

Could clinch 13th this weekend

We finish above Spurs and Man U. Whodathunkit. Yet one of these ‘orrible teams will be playing Champions League next season. A Richy hat-trick in the final possibly the only palatable outcome.

Hoping spurs do it in europa, and united implode.

See how they get on with psr breaches...

Paul Ferry

Yes Ian, we should be 4 points clear on 45 in a few days time. Wolves away at Palace desperate to win after losing the final and Hammers at home to fuck we need the points Forest.

Paul, United and Spurs are unable to overtake us.

Paul Ferry
14 Posted 17/05/2025 at 02:35:11
Man-U could still catch us Phil.
Danny O'Neill
15 Posted 17/05/2025 at 06:22:02
It would take an 8-goal swing in goal difference for United to catch us, even if they win their last game. I don't see that happening.

So it's down to us, Wolves and West Ham in the "fight" for 13th.

The race for Champions League is tight and difficult to call.

Arsenal on 68, and may not finish second. Newcastle, City and Villa close by on 66, with City lurking on 65.

I think Forest are out of it now on 62, but they've surpassed expectations this season and will be playing European football next season.

FA Cup Final today, that could still see City finish the season with a trophy and Champions League qualification, despite falling short of their own recent standards this time out.

Just got to.win against Southampton. No excuses.

It's another one of those wanting both teams to lose in the Europa League Final in Wednesday. Both are in the four teams I detest most, along with the Red Shite and the Skunk Maggots, who played each other in the Carabao Cup Final.

I think I'll go for Spurs "Big club my arse" purely because I've got a mate who claims to be Man Utd's best supporter, even though he's hardly stepped foot inside Old Trafford.

And also he used to be a Wolves supporter until he jumped ship and became a glory hunter. Also, I would like to see Richarlison win something.

Phil Roberts

Paul - 42 points and we have 42.

Needed is - they win last match by 3 goals and we lose our last two by 2 goals to cancel out the 7-goal advantage we have on goal difference.

They shouldn't be able to catch us.

Rob - I agree about Richarlison and also I reckon not in Europe will hurt Man Utd more than Spurs.

I'm in total disagreement with the principle, Rob.

Why should they be rewarded with a Champion's League place? Win the Europa League, but that is reward enough.

I don't understand the format any more, but it was a bit like when teams knocked out of the Champion's League got put into the later stages of the Europa League. Reward for failure.

Then again, you're talking to someone who disagrees with the entire concept of the Champion's League. The name is false as most of the teams participating aren't champions of their respective nations.

What you talking about, Hewey? The fuckers lost and I celebrate each and every time that happens, whether it's a pre-season friendly or a cup final.

You know, the Evertonian's DNA.

First red card just as I turned it on — for grabbing an arm? Okay, denial of goal-scoring opportunity, maybe, But two City defenders coming in to cover?

Second red card 6 minutes later, yes, goes in with his studs showing but doesn't really catch Gonsalez that badly, who is up and at 'em a minute or so later.

I think both were yellow card offenses in my mind.

Then it's back to this mind-numbing "me-to-you" keep-ball garbage. This isn't football. At that point, I turned it off.

Great finish by Eze.

MK, are you going to explain why you deleted four posts so far on the online abuse of. DCL's wife? Or are you divine right unaccountable? You supported a thread on Doucoure's online abuse. What's the difference?

I’d love it if we ruined the skunks chances of CL football next season. Is that even possible even if we beat them?

Securing 13th with a week to go is some turnaround from Moyes. Worthy of appreciation if not celebration.

Here’s to looking up in future.

Danny O'Neill
37 Posted 20/05/2025 at 23:08:05
He's done well John and although I wouldn't call 13th and achievement, that's aimed at Everton, not at Moyes. I know what you mean.

Colin, it will depend on a sequence of results as it's that tight to call. One point between between 4th and 7th.

Should we beat Newcastle, they finish on 66.

Forest and Chelsea play each other, If Chelsea win, they finish on 69, Forest on 65. If they draw, Chelsea finish on 67, Forest on 66, but Newcastle have the better goal difference.

Villa are away to United, so anything could happen there. If they win, 69. Draw and it's 67.

It's all to close to call. After that brain hurting analysis, I would say that even if we beat Newcastle, they have probably done enough.

we just need to do our job on Sunday, and hope that the other teams get across the line. It would be hilarious if we helped them secure europa footy for next year. Would end the season on a real high.

Although we were 1 point above relegation when Moyes came in, I never thought we'd go down. The bottom three were dreadful.

Even as a professed 'Dyche hater' I couldn't see our owners making a change. There was a mini league there that we were bottom of and, even with a change, I couldn't see the financial return for a managerial change.

My justification for a change was that Everton were losing their connection with fans and were about to see off the Old Lady with a negative whimper.

Obviously Dyche then practically made their decision for them by declaring he was done.

Moyes has come in and won that mini league and justified the change in both financial and performance terms. And of course the last few months had some good moments, comfortable safety, a reconnection with the fans, and a more fitting send off than we might have otherwise anticipated.
