No. Doesn't help… Jack Convery 2 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:14:07 PSG 1-nil. Come on PSG, STUFF THE RS. VAR check happening how surprising! Now expect crumpling RS players in the PSG box, conning the ref for a penalty. Can someone explain the Stuea Flag issue to me. Michael Kenrick 3 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:14:26 Oh, wait a minute... Nigel Scowen 4 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:15:44 PSG you beauties Edward Rogers 5 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:16:42 As someone posted in the 1st leg " Seen this movie before" Tony Abrahams 6 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:17:20 Sssshhhh, fuckin ssshhhhussshhh. Close your eyes, stay calm and keep your counsel, and see how we are feeling later on tonight 👍 Liam Mogan 7 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:18:10 Could end up anything this game. They love the big boot do the shiteThat was me Ed. Seen The Shite Pt1, 2 & 3 Kieran Kinsella 8 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:24:09 From the BBC:"Liverpool have been caught with a sucker punch.Their first effort and PSG have scored a goal. After so much good work from Liverpool, they didn't manage to capitalise."So for clarity "so much good work" means playing for 10 minutes and having two shots versus PSG having one. It is hardly comparable with the sucker punch in the first leg when PSG had about 40 shots and Liverpool none over 90 Minutes not 10! Jack Convery 9 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:27:27 Can someone explain to me the significance of the Steua Flag issue. Liam Mogan 10 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:28:06 Vitinha in midfield for PSG is a wonderful footballer.Wtf does Arse Slot shine his head with? Windolene? Jack Convery 11 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:28:56 Liam - VVDs arse. Liam Mogan 12 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:29:18 Steua won the Europen Cup in 86 when we got banned because of their actions. Classy. Danny O'Neill 13 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:32:32 They mock a tragedy and deaths they caused with that banner that we'll be presented with in a few weeks. No shame. Kieran Kinsella 14 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:33:35 More from the biased Beeb:"IF Liverpool had SOME luck last week they've had NONE tonight."Shots on target so far RS 1 PSG 3 Liam Mogan 15 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:36:03 There's fella on the shite bench who looks at least 100. Looks like he's been dug up.PSG had more chances now. That was flying in. Michael Kenrick 16 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:37:22 Wish these boys in dark blue wouldn't keep missing glorious chances... Jack Convery 17 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:38:23 Thanks for that lads.Warnock on 5live, no bias there then ! Mike Gaynes 18 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:44:25 If PSG doesn't stop giving the ball away in their own end, they're gonna ruin our day. Mike Gaynes 19 Posted 11/03/2025 at 20:47:59 Disgraceful swan dive. Fake news, Howard, I'm afraid. A shirt pull is a penalty and a yellow card, don't you know. Mike Gaynes 23 Posted 11/03/2025 at 21:19:37 This game really does have a certain sense of inevitability about it. Julian Exshaw 24 Posted 11/03/2025 at 21:24:14 It does Mike G. Jack Convery 26 Posted 11/03/2025 at 21:33:19 If they get a 98th minute goal, are they allowed to celebrate a draw like they won the World Cup ? Alan McGuffog 27 Posted 11/03/2025 at 21:34:49 As night follows day Julian Exshaw 28 Posted 11/03/2025 at 21:35:34 PSG are fading a bit Allen; giving the ball away. Long way to go... Oh to listen to some of them I was surrounded by tonight.Apparently they were disgraceful and embarrassing according to the so called supporters. Fuck me they are entitled and haven't even been to Anfield and in some cases the city.I don't care much for them, but it did make me smile in a smug way. Duncan Anderson 55 Posted 11/03/2025 at 23:08:53 Its no surprise the scum lost on penalties, after all they only have one person take all their penalties to pad his stats so the others don't get a chance. I'm sure it was nice for them to watch the actual best keeper in the world do his stuff after all gushing about Alisson last week. Mike Connolly 56 Posted 11/03/2025 at 23:18:51 Garna Guye in the away end Rob Halligan 57 Posted 11/03/2025 at 23:20:19 The shite may win the premier league on penalties, but they wont win the champions league on penalties!! Sandra Williams 58 Posted 11/03/2025 at 23:20:58 MERCI PSG!!! And a great shot at the end high up over Anfield as the cameras panned over the crowds leaving the ground and in the distance you can see the blue light shining at our new stadium lovely! Night all! Jack Convery 59 Posted 11/03/2025 at 23:27:20 Tuned out and back just now to see the RS are out - oh sweet joy. Now for the Barcodes to beat them on pens at the weekend, followed by Slot losing the plot as Beto scores a hatrick and the RS Whisperer The Duke Doucoure gets the 4th. Great referee performance by all accounts tonight. PGMOL clowns take note. Thanks PSG and Luis Enrique you've made my night. Come on Eddie your turn next you Blues loving Manager. Mark Murphy 60 Posted 11/03/2025 at 23:29:14 Liam -!fcuking Fazackerly! That ref wasnt sucked in. They wouldnt be top ten if that was normal Jack Convery 61 Posted 11/03/2025 at 23:42:12 No doubt the RS will complain the new set up for the Champions League was to blame, as they should be playing a team of PSGs capabilities in the last 4 and not the last 16. I hear there's a petition being set up as I type. Colin Glassar 62 Posted 12/03/2025 at 00:26:14 Finally, a ref whos not intimidated by the koppites and their cheating players. Bravo ref Kieran Kinsella 63 Posted 12/03/2025 at 01:08:16 Aside from the entire history of RS murders etc just the fawning BBC commentary made me want them to lose and did they deliver? Lol Si Cooper 64 Posted 12/03/2025 at 02:06:43 Jack (22), that was embarrassing for PGMOL. Im surprised they revealed so much, like the AVAR basically having to haul the VAR away from obsessing over Maguires input to even look at what De Ligt did. The AVAR was obviously surprised the VAR dismissed De Ligts pulling so quickly. Then the VAR goes to the ref stating he feels the penalty award should be overturned. I dont think they should ever say anything other than they want to discuss some points with the ref.Webb at least admitted they should have shown much more footage of the De Ligt pulls. As it was, the ref had already made up his mind to change the decision by the time they gave him the first, really poor, view of what De Ligt did. He gave it a glance and had simply stopped looking at the screen by the time they gave him the second view.Webb gave it a final ‘gloss by saying he thought the ref would not have stayed with his original decision even if he had viewed the De Ligt pulling in full, but that is not the point is it.At least 2 penalties given at weekend where a glancing blow on one leg caused instant paralysis in the other and a whole body spasm! So much reaction to a foul is simulation how can they single out Ashley Youngs over-reaction as somehow negating being clearly held-back?Do the same to anyone getting away from you anywhere else on the pitch and you get an automatic yellow. Colin Crooks 65 Posted 12/03/2025 at 06:58:20 Only Just saw the result after another virusy night coughing and spluttering. They need to bottle results like this and let the chemists sell it. I feel like somebody has just given me and instant cure Derek Thomas 66 Posted 12/03/2025 at 07:24:08 Official attendance 47,000; capacity 61,000 (rounded down) so much for der best fans in der werld...unless they're working a fiddle like our attendances in the 70s...then as now - that new stand (or in their case this new lego loft extension) won't pay for its self you know. Robert Tressell 67 Posted 12/03/2025 at 07:28:24 Mike # 49. That phrase has a particular meaning in the UK at least these days... Danny O'Neill 68 Posted 12/03/2025 at 07:49:01 I'm glad I've already had breakfast and taken the dog out. The BBC is winding me up with the "a tough night for Liverpool fans". Nauseating.A nice picture of Gana Gueye sat amongst the PSG supporters is doing the rounds and the one of the PSG coach pulled up outside the Park End. Steve Brown 69 Posted 12/03/2025 at 08:06:47 I saw that Danny, they were almost crying on the sofa. James Hughes 70 Posted 12/03/2025 at 08:26:33 well Sally Nugent is a scouser and is a RS Liam Mogan 71 Posted 12/03/2025 at 08:32:14 Away from the RS, Harrison Armstrong put in another excellent performance for Derby last night. Only caught about 30 mins of the game (in between watching 'the greatest match in the history of the galaxy') but he looked a player. Derby fans very impressed. Danny O'Neill 72 Posted 12/03/2025 at 08:50:18 I know Steve. They cast their Satanic spell far and wide.Good to see him finally doing well and getting a crack Liam. I liked what I saw of Armstrong in the glimpses we got. I was a bit concerned for him when about a week after he arrived there, they sacked their manager.Hopefully history will repeat itself and he can come back to Everton ready to be part of the first team squad. Way back when, a good friend of mine who has always supported Derby, told me how much they liked Leon Osman and wanted his loan to turn in a permanent deal. Let's hope that Armstrong continues to impress. Not just the Derby setup, but Everton, who I trust are monitoring his progress.Apologies for not watching the U21s too much. What's happening with Dixon? Dave Abrahams 73 Posted 12/03/2025 at 09:35:26 Im reading a good book so went to bed early last night to read it with the score 1-0 to that lovely PSG team so I got up not long ago to read the inevitable score but it wasnt what I I was expecting so “ Oh What a Beautiful Morning Oh What a Beautiful Day”.Does anyone think they could still go to pieces and drop away completely——Obviously they are not as good as the media think they are, lets do them at Anfield and be part of their downfall! Jeff Spiers 74 Posted 12/03/2025 at 09:48:08 The air was truly BLUE last night!!!! Danny O'Neill 75 Posted 12/03/2025 at 09:58:55 It's not out of the question Dave. They have 27 points to play for, Arsenal 30. It would take a gargantuan effort from the Gunners and a collapse from the cousins, but you never know in football. Stranger things have happened.I'll try to take in Villa tonight. If Arsenal have any sense, they'll make a few changes as their match against PSV is a dead rubber. The Madrid derby looks close. No European football tomorrow evening. I'm going to take in Bromley v Walsall in League 2. Should be a good night out and I'll probably enjoy it more!! Dave Abrahams 76 Posted 12/03/2025 at 10:07:02 Danny (75), Now that youve put it into perspective it was just a hollow dream on my part Danny.I hope you enjoy the game at Bromley thanks again for your support. Dave Abrahams 77 Posted 12/03/2025 at 10:25:41 How many subs can be used in these European Cup games, according to The Daily Mail, or Ive read it wrong (ten times), Liverpool used six substitutions last night! Liam Mogan 78 Posted 12/03/2025 at 10:30:08 They get an extra one if it goes into extra time Dave. So 6. Dave Abrahams 79 Posted 12/03/2025 at 10:58:58 Liam (78), Thanks Liam, so even with seventeen players they couldnt score one goal! Andrew Grey 80 Posted 12/03/2025 at 11:07:39 All the P's...Plymouth and now PSG.Obviously rooting for Pewcastle this weekend! (especially now Balding isn't playing!) Liam Mogan 81 Posted 12/03/2025 at 11:36:57 Yes Dave 79 - I read this comment on bbc sport this morning from a 'fan':'Mr Henry, you really need to invest a little bit more on signing players to allow Arne to do substitutions properly. You can't keep relying on the same starting XI to run the challenge to become triple or even quadruple champions'It must be hard only making 6 subs who cost in excess of £200M. Entitlement beyond words. Robert Tressell 82 Posted 12/03/2025 at 12:48:19 Danny # 72, now that we are safe - it would be nice to see Dixon get some first team minutes. That might come in the very final games like it did when JJK got the last game of a season against Norwich I think and did pretty well. He has 2 years left on his contract so probably won't leave in summer but he really should be on loan somewhere. This hasn't been a good season for him from a development point of view. Danny O'Neill 83 Posted 12/03/2025 at 13:30:49 Totally Robert. It would be more beneficial for him to train with the first team squad and get a few cameos in, especially given our need in the full back position. The lad is rapid as well. Paul Hewitt 84 Posted 12/03/2025 at 13:36:26 I just wish Everton could get into the Champions League. Rob Halligan 85 Posted 12/03/2025 at 13:53:36 Paul, when we do, you will probably predict us to lose every match! 😁😁😁 Paul Hewitt 86 Posted 12/03/2025 at 13:59:15 I'll probably be dead by then. Rob Halligan 87 Posted 12/03/2025 at 14:07:48 Only giving yourself two years then! 😁😁😁 Gerry Quinn 88 Posted 12/03/2025 at 16:07:32 1878 - the Birth1892 - the Afterbirth Mick O'Malley 89 Posted 12/03/2025 at 17:04:14 Gerry spot on Michael Kenrick 90 Posted 12/03/2025 at 21:29:42 Incredible penalty miss for Carlo's boy Vinícius Júnior after Mbappe hauled down in the area! Paul Ferry 91 Posted 12/03/2025 at 21:50:44 It was horrible MK. Would like to see Athletico win this and then Carlo can head off to Brasil for a few years. Jeff Spiers 92 Posted 12/03/2025 at 22:13:40 Gerry. Amen to that. That will go down in history. Shiver me timbers Michael Kenrick 93 Posted 12/03/2025 at 22:30:32 And Carlo hauls off Vinícius 5 minutes before it goes to penalties. No more shockers from him! Michael Kenrick 94 Posted 12/03/2025 at 22:44:00 Bizarre decision on Atletico penalty there. Double hit, no score. Not sure I agree with VAR there. But Real Madrid go through – just! – to meet Arsenal.Carlo marches on! Rob Halligan 95 Posted 12/03/2025 at 22:50:15 Surely that penalty by Alvarez should have been re-taken? Bit unfair to be ruled out.Anyway, at least Atletico Madrid know how weve felt down the years…….cheated by your ghastly neighbours, or rather the referees favouring the so called superior neighbour. Mike Connolly 96 Posted 12/03/2025 at 22:57:08 100% Rob Danny O'Neill 97 Posted 13/03/2025 at 08:31:42 Villa comfortably through. Hard to think that they were in the Championship 2016-2018, and facing administration due to financial difficulties having failed at the first attempt to promote straight back to the Premier League.I don't gamble, especially on football, but with Cheltenham on, I topped up the betting App I have. I got a super-boost for Real and Villa to win at 16-1. Real messed it up, because it they didn't do it in normal time.Back to the horses and my cautious £1 each way flutters!!! Rob Halligan 98 Posted 13/03/2025 at 08:34:09 Can Atletico Madrid sue Uefa for ruling out the penalty kick by Alveraz last night? Wonder how much that has cost them in lost revenue? Atletico would have had a real good chance of going all the way and winning the Champions League if it weren't for that disallowed penalty.
