A fellow Blue posted this before and I just read it.

My admiration of Moyes grew after we stayed up but just in relief, just like us all.

A great manager or even good one. My mental jury is out.

I think this bloke does a good job of encapsulating some of the reasons why I was not happy when Moyes returned as our manager.

This is what the miserable Scottish Presbyterian pragmatist is most accomplished at doing.

I doubt Moyes would take issue being called a miserable pragmatist, but Presbyterian - he might.
Also - when did Moyes introduce our new £40 million striker again?

It didn't take long for the Anti Moyes brigade to come out after the most appalling transfer window we have seen.

No quality full backs, proven goal scorers nor wingers signed and yet we let a significant number of players go at the end of June.

If Barry, Adnou and Travers are the result of the new elite recruitment committee they all need sacking.

Thelwell did a better job in his sleep with a negative budget.

12 days left.

In addition to a right winger, Everton are apparently also looking to sign a striker, right-back and a defensive-midfielder – all most likely on loan given the costs involved in signing a winger.

That would be the winger that we targeted for weeks as our main transfer signing, then decided we couldn’t afford.

The failures of the summer recruitment approach will probably buy Moyes some time with supporters.

On the other hand Michael, when Moyes took over;-

We Won Away at Brighton, Palace, Forest, Newcastle,Wolves and Southampton.
Won at home playing Spurs and Leicester.
Drew with Man U (H) Reds (H) Brentford (A) Wolves (A) Arsenal (H) West Ham (H).

He's the same manager now its the players that have changed.

Spot on, Raymond #6.

Moyes had a very bad day on Monday, but he's had lots of good ones since he came back.

The transfer situation is now so dire we're not even linked with more keepers.

We lost 3 loan players and lost another 3 first team players.
We didn't sell them, we have not been able to bring in any revenue / profit / cash to reinvest it.

We made 1 loan permanent and I would suggest his price of £15M being affordable the main reason for this as I already think he was on a relatively low wage. A good, young premier league experienced player.

We appear to have about £40M left to spend due to accounting rules and is if we haven't already identified our priority targets we keep it for January or next season.

Bring in another 3 loan players and hopefully we can make a couple of them permanent in the summer. There's no way we will be paying £50 M for Grealish when he's 30 and still demands mega wages.
