David Moyes Jnr to join Everton as European Scout

| 13/10/2025 5comments  |  Jump to last

Scottish journalist Alan Nixon claims that David Moyes has persuaded Everton to bring his son, David Moyes Jnr, into the club’s scouting team.

Nixon says David Junior has not worked since being let go by West Ham Utd and notes that he has previously spent time as an agent.

Reporting on Patreon, Nixon says Moyes Junior will be allocated a part of Europe to scour for talent as the Merseysiders look to find signings abroad.

According to Hammers News, it is reported Moyes is very happy about the appointment.

Ah... the penchant for nepotistic appointments under Moyes lives on!

I thought at first it was his brother, who was an agent, the article referred to but it obviously it couldn’t be because of the name, still Moyes is getting his son a wage which he did at WHU although he had never grafted (?) as a scout before, or since, just as an agent, ——is Outer Mongolia in Europe? They could let him scout there, keep in work but out of the way.

This isn't a great look for the new regime.

We need continuity regardless of manager.

Moyes has brought in his trusted people but in doing so he weakens the club and strengthens his own hand.

Moyes will be sacked in 2 years time and then we start again replacing the cronies he brought in.

If we are ever to get back to the top things like this don't happen.

It's such an obvious show of nepotism.

Almost every manager brings in his own team who subsequently go when he goes. And so what if it’s his son? I really don’t see the issue here apart from bait being clicked, for which I am guilty of wasting 15 seconds of my not very valuable time.
