Allan is the next name to be linked -- but he's not a striker
Everton are reported to be considering a move for Palmeiras 'starlet' Allan in January, and have supposedly been enquiring about the 21-year-old’s availability, according to Spanish outlet AS.
Not to be confused with the previous transfer of the other Brazilian midfielder named Allan (born 1991) who joined Everton from Napoli in 2020, according to the Spanish language outlet:
He is one of the great sensations of this final stretch of the [Brazilian] season. He stands out especially for his versatility: an attacking midfielder by birth, he has also managed to carve out a space for himself as a winger and even a central midfielder.
At just 21 years old, he is the last great future project to emerge from the prosperous Verdão Academy. A complete player, in the half-century of games he has played, he already has two goals and eight assists, in addition to averaging 80% accurate passes, 60% successful dribbles or 51% of defensive duels won, according to data from SofaScore.
Because Allan goes from exhibition to exhibition, with his outstanding match against Liga de Quito as a great example of this. In other words, if Palmeiras is a Libertadores finalist today, it is largely thanks to his performance.
Improving from less to more, his season has not gone unnoticed on the Old Continent. Although Palmeiras already rejected two very important offers in the summer, it is expected that this transfer will materialize in the coming transfer windows, with teams from Portugal and England (West Ham, Fulham, and Everton) monitoring his situation.
He won't be cheap, though. With a contract until December 2029, his release clause is close to €100M [£88M], an 'anti-European clubs' measure with which Palmeiras will seek to gain maximum profit.
However, a more modest valuation of £27M is cited as his current market by some sources, which is a much lower figure than his release clause.
None of the betting houses appear to have offered a price on him joining Everton in January, so that must be considered a rank outside chance at this point.

Everton are in dire need of a striker, à la Harry Kane, but this guy is somewhat different and the price tag will be beyond Everton methinks. He will probably end up in Spain, Portugal or at Man Utd.
Probably best to wait till January and see what comes available and what transpires with our current 'strikers'…

Apologies, Alan - seems like posters just randomly get allocated an existing poster's name.
