Moyes admits McFadden talks

David Moyes has confirmed that Everton have held talks with representatives of ex-Goodison midfielder, James McFadden, about a return to the Blues but admits that Celtic is a more likely destination for the Scot.

"We have been talking to James and the people behind him for the last few weeks," he said. "It could happen but I would say it's probably going against that now."

McFadden is a free agent after being released by Birmingham City to whom Everton sold the former Scotland international for £5m.

Because he is not contracted to any club, Everton would be free to sign McFadden between transfer windows.
