Moyes hopeful of ?one or two more?

David Moyes is hopeful that Landon Donovan won't be the last addition to his squad before the end of the January transfer window.

Everton announced the acquisition of Donovan on a second loan spell yesterday and the manager is obviously keen to add more faces to a squad short on numbers, experience and creativity.

"We want to get players in and the chairman is working around the clock to try and get me more in," Moyes said at his press conference ahead of tomorrow's home game with Norwich City.

"Let's hope we can get one or two more before the end of the January window. Landon is the start and we know we would like to add to the squad and we are going to try and do that."

Evertonians have, of course, heard this refrain before from Moyes and though the Club's financial difficulties have eased somewhat since the crisis described by Bill Kenwright in the controversial meeting with the Blue Union over the summer, money will still be exceptionally tight.

It is expected that Moyes will again have to rely on the loan market, unless other clubs come in for one or two players whose Goodison careers haven't gone quite according to plan.

Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and John Heitinga are two players who have been the subject of transfer speculation linking them with moves away from Everton in January and could command around £10m between them if the right offer came in that suited all parties.
