Signed, limited edition copies benefit legend's Foundation

The autobiography of Goodison legend Neville Southall, The Binman Chronicles, is set for publication on 13th August and you can pre-order a signed copy now from a range of limited edition covers designed by Liverpool-based creative design agency, Milkyone.

A minimum of £10 of the £25 sale price of the book will be donated to the Neville Southall Foundation as part of publisher deCoubertin Books' plan to raise £5,000 for the ex-goalkeeper's fundraising efforts.

The covers showcase some of Southall's incredible football achievements, including the 1984 FA Cup win, the 1985 European Cup Winners Cup Final victory, the 1987 League Championship, the 1995 FA Cup win and his record 92 Wales caps.

"These beautifully designed books are certain to become collectors' items," said James Corbett, who collaborated with Southall on the book.

"They are signed by a football icon and benefit a great cause. We expect them to sell out long before the launch date, so my advice is to make no delay in choosing your favourite and place an order today."

The Neville Southall Foundation operates on a local basis throughout Wales, motivating people to widen and engage in participation in programmes linked to community sports activities. It focuses on benefiting Communities First areas and surrounding rural villages.

Ok, I'm biased because James Corbett is my nephew and I've read the draft. But from talking to James, and reading through all those years I remember of Neville at the very top of the goalkeeping game (Sheffield Wednesday away, 1985, anybody?), I reckon this book gets into the enigma that is Big Nev.

I had to choose the cover with him lifting the ECWC, if only to remind me of times when we were TOP, oh happy days....

Agreed, Denis. For some reason it always tickles me that he's wearing a red shirt & I wish I'd bought one a few years ago when TOFFS were selling them.

Jeez!! £25 is a bargain. Signed by the great man himself in a limited edition cover with £10 going towards his charity.

Peter (598), remember that game well. There were some games around that time when you just knew he wouldn't let one in if they played all night.

25 quid is a bargain of scandalous proportions!

The 1987 copy I have just ordered with Nev resplendent - in his own way - in that great NEC kit shall be cherished for all-time!
