Disclaimer Ray Robinson 1 Posted 20/07/2012 at 22:15:25 We're perceived to be miles ahead of Liverpool in this respect, so remember when knocking the club (as I have done on occasions), there are some areas where we are getting things right. Well done the club! Fran Mitchell 2 Posted 20/07/2012 at 22:53:57 They seemed to be a decent group, got involved with the Refugee Week and such. However, with them opening one of these tory 'free schools', and in doing so supporting the tories move to privitise the education system and thus make the whole society, especially cities like liverpool, worse off then I have no pride in this group. Rob Jones 3 Posted 20/07/2012 at 23:16:40 Fran, I agree with your feelings about free schools but if you look at the plans for Everton's one it does seem to be different to the usual crazed, religious nuts or the middle class elitist plans that seem to be the order of the day elsewhere. It would be nice to subvert the tory plans and do some good. Alastair Donaldson 4 Posted 21/07/2012 at 13:14:13 Rob (924) I would have to agree with you about Everton's plans for their free school looking really positive although I don't think you can simply make the point that every faith organisation who plan to run one are 'crazed religious nuts'. Sorry for objecting to you on this one but sounds a wee bit like a chip on your shoulder. Dennis Stevens 5 Posted 21/07/2012 at 14:38:25 Good point, Fran – it'd be so much better to continue to sacrifice the future education of the country's children at the altar of political ideology. What a load of prejudiced nonsense.
