A loyal servant of the club and a fading breed of gentlemen footballers. He may not be the most talented footballer, but I would have him any day over money grabbing characters like Balotelli, Suarez, Terry, etc, etc.Well done, Tony, and wish you a good remainder to your career as well as life after football. You have the respect and best wishes of all true blues. Dennis Stevens 2 Posted 25/07/2012 at 19:18:47 Hear! Hear! Well put, Ajay. Nick Armitage 3 Posted 25/07/2012 at 19:16:55 Ajay, would you really want Hibbert before Balotelli? Michael Mulholland 4 Posted 25/07/2012 at 19:28:38 Is right Ajay, if your talking to Hibbo could you tell him to get his big toe nail cut for this season. Andrew Gilbert 5 Posted 25/07/2012 at 19:30:37 And if Hibbert was as good as Balotelli would he still be here?Having said that I would probably take Hibbo over Mario, and defo before the other two thugs mentioned. Michael Summers 6 Posted 26/07/2012 at 13:14:53 This gesture just shows what the man is all about a genuine down to earth guy who has given the Blues eleven great years and had not moaned or slagged the club or anyone of when not in team; he has just got his head and grafted. Thanks, Tony, for your service and long may it continue. Vijay Nair 7 Posted 26/07/2012 at 13:35:23 Hats off to Hibbo! Hope he scores his first goal ever for Everton in the testimonial.. Kase Chow 8 Posted 26/07/2012 at 14:03:07 Hibbo = top man and dedicated wholehearted player. true Evertonian Ian Kearney 9 Posted 27/07/2012 at 02:32:46 Does that mean he's keeping the rest of the proceeds for himself? Peter Barry 10 Posted 27/07/2012 at 03:25:27 Ian Kearney # 205 obviously needs some lessons on the meaning and purpose of a 'Testimonial' Match. Ian Kearney 11 Posted 28/07/2012 at 14:37:05 I realise the tradition, but this is the modern era, and tony hibbert is one of the luckiest millionaires in the country, does he need more money?
