After spending 13 years at Everton as a youngster, Leyton Orient's visit to Goodison Park represents a dream come true for keeper Jamie Jones. The 23-year-old came up through the ranks of the Everton Academy before being released in 2008.

“I was delighted with the draw. When you looked at all the Premier League clubs in it you couldn't have had a better one," said Jones.

“Everton away was the top club there and we managed to draw it, and it was especially pleasing for me because I spent 13 years of my life there. That's where I learned my trade so it will be nice to go back and show them what I'm all about.

“I played at Goodison Park in the FA Youth Cup but it's not the same when it's not the first team, so it'll be nice to get that opportunity and to prove a point to David Moyes himself and all the coaches, as well as thanking them for the time that they gave me and what they taught me.

“I left Everton as a 19-year-old boy and now I'm a 23-year-old man. It's going to be a good game and I'm looking forward to trying to put in a performance with the team that sees Leyton Orient go through in the tie.

"That's my job as a professional for Leyton Orient Football Club, but I will be going there with a smile on my face knowing it's an opportunity I want to take.”
