Pienaar withdrawn from Internationals

A thigh strain in sustained Saturday's game at West Brom has forced Steven Pienaar to withdrawn from South Africa's squad due to play international friendlies this week.

He was due to fly out to join his national squad for matches against Brazil in Sao Paulo on Friday and then Mozambique in Nelspruit a week on Tuesday.

However, Everton have confirmed injury has prevented Pienaar for travelling and he now has two weeks to recover before their next match, the visit of Newcastle on September 17.

For Paul Joy, read negative fan who is never willing to see a positive thing when it is right in front of them. A supporter supports.....if before this season started we would have seen 6 point from 3 games we would have all seen a decent start..... Start being a supporter and not a nag..... Sure, we could have done better but the team has lots going for it and we should focus on that point.

I think Peter, if you read Paul's post properly he's merely stating that Pienaar got some rough treatment at West Brom.

How is that being negative mate?

I'm delighted that at long last someone has finally cleared up that supporter thing....I mean no way could anyone take issue with that definition. Hopefully you'll at least have the consolation of eating a hearty breakfast!

One of the things I want to take out of losing to WBA is that our boys understand they're marked as a great side now. The ref didn't even stop play once at Steven's mis-handling. Take care of your own gents.

Should have been some revenge for the way he was run over and thru. I'm one who is glad the old ways of a "pub brawl moved to the pitch" are done.

But we can't just be taking shit from opponents.
