Mark Tanton 3 Posted 20/09/2012 at 20:27:14 Can he play holding midfielder?! Thomas James 4 Posted 20/09/2012 at 20:42:42 I doubt he'll make the Swansea game given he has only trained once with Everton. Simon Smith 5 Posted 20/09/2012 at 23:26:01 I guess it will depend on how short of numbers we are for Saturday's game if he plays or not... Keith Slinger 6 Posted 20/09/2012 at 23:31:31 Thomas, given the match is on Saturday he will trained with the squad for 3 whole days prior to the match. Vijay Nair 7 Posted 21/09/2012 at 06:09:02 He'll probably be on the bench, given there is no reason to break up Baines/Pienaar at the moment... And we all know Moyes loves to play it safe. Danny Burke 8 Posted 21/09/2012 at 07:16:37 Its not "playing it safe" to keep playing Baines and Pienaar. They are our most creative outlet and even Gary Neville admitted they were the best partnership in the league. Why would you want to break it up? Dave Williams 9 Posted 21/09/2012 at 07:43:53 If he is fit, play Pienaar in the centre and Brian out wide? Danny Kewley 10 Posted 21/09/2012 at 10:27:19 Sometimes when you look at YouTube to see what a player is like, you can get mislead, eg, a player can look good but isn't all that. Well that wasn't the case for Kevin Mirallas and I feel Bryan Oviedo is the real deal too. I saw a clip of him playing down the right wing and he looked the part, so I hope when he is ready he gets a chance to form a partnership with Coleman on the right. James Fletcher 11 Posted 21/09/2012 at 10:53:20 Speaking of "clip reels" has anyone got any links to some good ones for Brian? Sean McCarthy 12 Posted 21/09/2012 at 12:25:25 Danny, what partnership is that you're looking for with Coleman??? Have you seen him play right back?? No positional sense. Can't tackle. Despite Hibbert's limitations, he's twice the RB Coleman will ever be!!Sub at best. Championship in reality. Sam Hoare 13 Posted 21/09/2012 at 12:38:46 Reckon he'll be on the bench but probably play no or little part in the game, unless maybe Baines gets injured... Danny Kewley 14 Posted 21/09/2012 at 12:29:33 Sean Oviedo is meant to be left sided full back/midfield but I saw him on the right. So what's wrong with putting him as RB with Coleman in front of him, Fellaini in the middle and up front Mirallas behind Naismith or Anichibe? While our left side is playing football at its best, our right side is not. By the way, this is only fantasy football Sean lad cause DM will always pick Dave's Faves — Neville etc... Andrew Ellams 15 Posted 21/09/2012 at 12:59:17 I'm guessing that we are more likely to see him at Leeds in the cup on Tuesday. Anto Byrne 16 Posted 21/09/2012 at 13:00:35 Let's not get carried away, it's only five games in and we should be looking for a good performance and a solid defensive display. I expect we will get a point probably 1-1 as teams will either park the bus and play hoofball and give Distin the run around. Other than Jelly not playing, will Big Vic start? Moyes will no doubt have his own ideas with Neville marshaling the midfield. Will Fellaini be the lone forward? Jay Harris 17 Posted 21/09/2012 at 13:43:57 Or he could play anchor in MF alongside Felli with Pienaar, Mirallas and Naismith supporting the front man (probably Anichebe). Sam Hoare 18 Posted 21/09/2012 at 13:50:47 I highly doubt that the risk aversive Moyes will be playing a 22-year-old Costa Rican left back making his premier league debut out of position in the crucial midfield anchor! He'll be on the bench and maybe come on for 5 mnutes at the end depending on how things are going. If not then he'll feature in the cup game next week. Tony J Williams 19 Posted 21/09/2012 at 14:28:47 And rightly so Sam, the lad has only been here a few days Minik Hansen 20 Posted 21/09/2012 at 15:09:03 We'll get to see him in the Leeds game, that's most probable. There's a tiny chance to see him in the Swansea game coming in as a substitute, maybe to rest Pienaar, even less chance to let Baines rest in the last minutes. We'll get to see his quality some time, something to look forward to. NSNO. Pete Jones 21 Posted 21/09/2012 at 15:30:12 Is this the video, Danny? Look at the score and the advertising boards they are backwards, someone has reversed the video so it appears he is playing on the right. I thought the same until I realised. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YeKRyaNW8g Add Your Comments In order to post a comment, you need to be logged in as a registered user of the site. » Log in now Or Sign up as a ToffeeWeb Member — it's free, takes just a few minutes and will allow you to post your comments on articles and Talking Points submissions across the site.
