Lescott says he's staying with Man City

Joleon Lescott has ruled out any chance of him seeking a move away from Manchester City to Everton, Aston Villa or anywhere else this month.

In a statement released on the centre-back's behalf, Lescott said he is determined to stay and fight for his place at Man City:

"Joleon Lescott has ruled out the possibility of any loan move during the January transfer window,' said the statement.

"Despite speculation linking him with several Premier League clubs, Joleon has no desire to leave Manchester City."

He may have won a couple of medals but I bet deep down he regrets leaving Everton.

He has to say that if he wants his loyalty bonus when he leaves. That's all he is hanging round for at the moment.

Yusuf #711, you're surely joking? I'm sure he regrets the move every time he looks at his bank balance... He didn't come up through the ranks. His club where he did develop spent 1 season in the Premier League while he was there - he missed it due to a knee injury (in somewhat mysterious circumstances, but the rumour has it he was slipping his tackle somewhere where it wasn't welcome...)

He got his chance in the Premier League with Everton. Spent half a season at LB when Baines wasn't cutting it, and then forced through the move to City on a trebling of his wages.

Regrets? I'm sure that's not one of them.

Andrew (759), a lot of footballers are fuck ugly, I don't know what some girls see in these famous multi-millionaires.

As for Judas Lescot, fuck him. I hope he rots on Man City's bench and doesn't play enough games to qualify for a medal. If he was to ever come back to GP, he would have to eat a lot of humble pie. We were good for him and to him and we didn't deserve the selfish disrespect we got in return.

I wouldn't touch the greedy bastard with a barge pole. He couldn't wait to get away when he heard how much City were willing to offer. Oh and it was his fault Arsenal murdered us 6 - 1 in the first game of the season. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
