Disclaimer Mike Gaynes 1 Posted 07/01/2013 at 14:05:07 The last time Everton extended a Youth Loan with Brentford, it was for Adam Forshaw, and it became a permanent transfer. Forshaw is now a regular in Brentford's midfield and having a terrific season... they're fourth in League 1 and looking good for the promotion playoffs. Harold Matthews 2 Posted 08/01/2013 at 14:17:22 I was surprised we let Forshaw go. He was one of our best prospects. The academy situation has certainly changed with youngsters no longer coming through to the first team. Of course, the odd diamond will emerge along with lots of hype with a view to selling at a huge profit... á la Rooney and Rodwell. The conveyor belt shuddered to a stop with Barkley's broken leg and this will have upset a few applecarts. Even worse... he has gone backwards. Not worth a bean. I await with interest the renewed efforts to increase his value.
