Season › 2012-13 › News SOS1878 reveal survey results , 3 April, 15comments | Jump to most recent Everton fan site, SOS1878.co.uk, have published the results of their survey of supporters regarding the ownership and future of the Club, with 90% of the 3,000 respondents indicating that they "worry about the long-term future of Everton Football Club." As a Blue Union member, SOS1878.co.uk make no pretence as to their impartiality to the Bill Kenwright Board and it's reasonable to assume that, as such, their Web and social media following would feature a sizeable contingent of like-minded fans. Nevertheless, the findings of the survey reveal an undercurrent of concern among the respondents. » Read the full article at SOS1878.co.uk Reader Comments (15) Note: the following content is not moderated or vetted by the site owners at the time of submission. I'm not a Kenwright supporter but I don't buy that he is the root cause of all our ills. The fact is that he convinced other people to finance the takeover he spearheaded. He's never pretended to be a businessman or captain of industry and it's disingenuous of us to accuse him of being bad at something that he never claimed to be good at. Having said that, although he controls the purse strings even less than he makes out, he probably does have the power to, at least, recommend a place on the board for Terry Leahy who has a proven nuance when it comes to business. He could be our Daniel Levy and it's remiss of the board to not sound him out. I'd talk to him and if suitably impressed I'd give him a very wide brief. Dennis Stevens 2 Posted 04/04/2013 at 00:52:04 Poor old Bill, eh John? People are making out he's a villain when really he's the victim. I'm close to tears, just thinking about what you've written ...... Robin Cannon 3 Posted 04/04/2013 at 04:39:02 No doubt the results are skewed because of their public stance and membership of Blue Union. And no doubt they'll be dismissed because of that. But I'm not a member of Blue Union, I just saw the link on Toffeeweb, and my answers apparently matched the majority answer for every single question. John Gee 4 Posted 04/04/2013 at 10:20:12 Dennis,You took a bit of a leap there. I didn't say he was a victim. Why is it that if I don't think Kenwright is responsible for every single issue I'm automatically his supporter? There's a tabloid element of trying to constantly knock someone of their perch that is pervading society. Is it that people need to prove they have some power? That they can affect a change of something? I don't know. But I do know this, Bill Kenwright is not the devil. Anyway, let's have the same names trot out the same cliches egged on by a BU spin doctor... Kevin Tully 5 Posted 04/04/2013 at 10:56:07 John # 913,Don't fall for the soppy act BK often portrays when giving interviews. I believe he is one shrewd man, who knows exactly what he is doing. He may not know where every penny goes, or how to take this club forward for the future, but there is no doubting the millions he will walk away with one day. He has managed to gain control of a multi-million pound asset with other people's money – I would say he's a brilliant businessman!! Tony J Williams 6 Posted 04/04/2013 at 11:21:44 Next week, the world is round shocker!!!!We are all worried because the current set of incumbents are fecking useless. John Gee 7 Posted 04/04/2013 at 11:33:53 Tony, I think you'll find it's an oblongated spheroid. Paul Colley 8 Posted 04/04/2013 at 11:45:23 This week: the world is slightly square shocker!!!!LOL @ 'oblongated' spheroid :-)KENWRIGHT OUT. Steven May 9 Posted 04/04/2013 at 11:59:30 I don't see any problems with saying "Yes" to "Do you feel positive towards the club" and "Yes" to "Do you worry about the long-term future of Everton Football Club". I'm sure that most fans of most clubs can feel both at the same time. Brin Williams 10 Posted 04/04/2013 at 11:56:05 More like a protracted haemorrhoid, methinks!Def - 'a swollen vein or group of veins in the region of the anus'.Commonly called 'Piles'Result - pain in the arse!! James Morgan 11 Posted 04/04/2013 at 11:54:46 "But I do know this, Bill Kenwright is not the devil."New survey.Do you believe Bill Kenwright is the devil?
