And they went further ahead when Morris got a second but immediately Chris Long pulled one back for the home side. Everton fought back before the break but could not force an equalizer and then slipped further behind when Morris clinched his hat-trick in the second half. Everton's discipline went by the wayside as Ibou Touray showed his studs and got a straight red card. But Long popped back up to poke home his second and keep Blues hopes alive until Josh Murphy fed his brother Jacob to fire home City's fourth and seal Everton's demise for yet another year. Match Details: 1' - Chris Long finds space on the edge of the area for Everton but his shot drifts over the crossbar. 4' - Matthew Kennedy puts in a dangerous cross from the right-hand side but it evades everyone in the box. 5' - Reece Hall makes a driving run from midfield for City, and his shot is deflected behind for a corner but nothing comes of it and Everton clear. 8' - Kennedy pops up on the left this time for the Toffees, cutting inside and firing a shot over the bar from 20 yards. 14' - Goal! Norwich City take the lead through Carlton Morris, the Murphy brothers combining down the left, with Josh Murphy crossing from the byline for Morris to tap home. 19' - Chris Long hits an excellent low shot from the right flank that Britt does well to hold. 27' - Josh Murphy jinxes past a couple of Everton defenders, but he runs out of space and Springthorpe smothers the ball. 32' - Good chance for Everton. Long's cross from the right finds the unmarked Jon-Joe Kenny, who heads over. 37' - Morris steals his second goal for Norwich, sending the ball over an advancing Mason Springthorpe & into the empty net. 39' - Goal for Everton. Chris Long breaks into the box on the right-hand side and shoots under Britt and into the net. Long peels away after scoring for Everton in the FA Youth Cup defeat to Norwich City 40' - The tempo's increasing... with Josh Murphy searching out his brother but Springthorpe beats Jacob Murphy to the ball. 43' - Good low drive by Harry Charsley which flies just wide of goal. Everton playing with real drive as the half winds down... 45' - Hall is booked for a trip on Kennedy as Everton try to push for an equaliser. HT: Everton 1 - 2 Norwich City 46' - Second half underway at Goodison in front of a crowd of 1,093. 52' - Josh Murphy makes room himself on the corner of the box but his shot lacks convictions and floats over. 53' - Morris completes his hat-trick for Norwich; he pounced when Springthorpe spilled Josh Murphy's powerful shot. 55' - George Waring spurns a decent chance for Everton, nodding over when free inside the box. 61' - The direct Kennedy cuts across the penalty area for Everton before drilling a low shot just wide. 62' - Josh Murphy's deep cross finds King, but the midfielder drags his effort across the six-yard box. 63' - Everton left back Ibou Touray shown a straight red card for studs-up challenge on Norwich's Cameron Norman 66' - Josh Murphy powers a shot straight at Mason Springthorpe from just outside the box. 68' - The ball falls nicely to Conor Grant for Everton, who hits a shot on the turn that Britt clutches onto. 71' - Jacob Murphy flicks the ball towards goal after a corner, but Springthorpe manages to hold. 73' - Goal for Everton. Chris Long scores his second by reacting quickest after a goal-mouth scramble, with 18 mins left. 76' - Springthorpe makes an excellent save from Josh Murphy's deflected free-kick. 78' - Subs: Randall replaces King, while Courtney Duffus come on for George Waring and Gethin Jones for Harry Charsley. 81' - The Murphy brothers combine again to deadly effect, Jacob putting City back in control with a calm finish after being played through by Josh. 83' - A final throw of the dice by Everton as Jasper Johns replaces Matthew Kennedy. 85' - Josh Murphy is in the mix again as his shot from 20 yards flies just wide of the post. 86' - With Everton tiring, City are finding more space and McGeehan pokes wide after being picked out by Morris. 87' - Hall is replaced by ???. 87' - Long shoots from 25 yards but Britt gets everything behind it. 90' - Jon-Joe Kenny forces Britt into a decent stop with a low header from a corner as 4 mins of added time are called. Full time: Young Blues exit the FA Youth Cup at quarter-final stage after a disappointing evening at Goodison Park.
